It actually is a big ladle, the best I now have! It’s wide and deep, but the fact that it’s made of silicone prevents all scratches in my cast iron cocotte. People say it doesn’t fit the Staub cocottes, but at it does fit Le Creuset’s.It has a pretty big capacity compared to most other silicone ladles and it’s also soft to the touch.It’s also not rock hard on the edges making it easier to get all of the liquid.The downside of this item is it’s cleaning method… the top part of the handle is made of acacia wood which cannot get soaked, so it must be hand washed. But there’s a clever part of the design that doesn’t make it so bad. The wood part is actually high up and won’t bathe in your soup or stew when letting stand in the pot :)

This is a beautiful and very functional utensil. Easy to clean, love the silicone. Well worth the money spent.

Very attractive ladle. Expensive - but worth it. I would definitely buy again. I wish Staub made more utensils
