Used this to make 6 holes in 1'' thick solid oak. Cut quickly and cleanly .

I have a complete set of these. They are reliable, efficient and long lasting (as long as they are not abused) but they are just hole-saws.

Starrets last quite a bit longer than cheaper hole saws especially with heavy cutting work. The arbors are also good. With large diameter holes the tooth setting is very important.
