Got these on a whim, not 100% sure how i will use them, but as a primary sen teacher i am sure we will make the best of them!They arrived quickly, are very uniform and good quality wood. What a challenge to find a good project to make with them!

High quality wooden peg dolls ready for decorating - 10 straight and 10 curvy. I have to admit I didn't realise the difference in shapes, despite spending quite a long time looking before ordering. I was expecting the curvy shape because I've seen those decorated in a style I would like to achieve using my beginner-level folk art painting skills. We will have to see whether flowers work on the straight-shaped doll forms - hopefully so.The shapes are uniformly and consistently formed with a smooth finish and are very good quality. I haven't used peg dolls before to know precisely what to compare them to, but they do seem good. There are some natural tiny indentations in the wood and one has a slightly flattened area which I don't see posing any difficulties - I'm very pleased with the quality and am really looking forward to painting them with acrylic paints.The peg dolls could be painted into characters for a doll's house or for ornaments, and could be personalised into individual gifts, perhaps with letters to spell out a child's name, or into brides & grooms, decorated for specific professions or other characters as cake toppers. They could be coated with varnish for further longevity if desired. Children could also have fun decorating and personalising the figures as a craft activity. Pens, pens, decoupage or pyrography could all be used, just as the imagination takes you!
