I recently ordered two different styles of method feeders for carp fishing, and I prefer this style. This style allows the line to feed through the center of the spring. The other method feeder required an attachment at each end of the spring. With this feeder, you only need to feed the line though the center and tie on a hook. then use a split shot a few inches away from the hook to give a little space between the hook and the feeder.The other style requires a short leader to the hook at one end of the feeder and then tying the main line on the other end of the method feeder. This means you need three knots instead of only one.

I made a home-made pack bait from corn, corn flour, bread crumbs, some raspberry extract, and some eggs. This spring feeder worked perfectly holding the bait in for the cast. I caught 5 nice carp using these spring feeders. I am very pleased with their quality. They slid easily on the line. Did not get bent or damaged, and they were heavy enough to cast into the carp zone.
