I've had 2 other French presses and they were both glass. Maybe I've been under a rock or simply just haven't looked, but for the sake of hot coffee; why glass?!?!?I digress, because this press is awesome and I use it daily at work (yes, I'm a coffee snob) and their coffee is horrid. This brings me to the title, STAINLESS STEEL! Now I don't have to reheat (shudder) my coffee anymore. I like to let it steep longer than your average Joe, because I like my coffee to do it's job. What job is that you ask, keeping me alert, focused and have the strength to make it til lunch. The dual mesh screens felt like a little overkill to me (so I now have a backup) because it made it more difficult to fully press at the end. Coarse grind tends to stop it up and I don't like bitter coffee, so I stay away from finer grinds. Happy steeping to those that like strong coffee!

This pot is so cute but within a month or two of use the wooden handle has become wiggly and there’s no way to tighten it up:(

I am a tea drinker, and I love that this can be used to strain tea as well. Its very sturdy, and It will not break because I've gone through many broken teapots. What is great is once the tea is infused for about 2 minutes , I can pull up the strainer and strain the tea leaves. This way, the tea is infused each time when i want to drink again, preventing it from soaking and becoming bitter. the tea will always be freshly brewed with hot water. Like it alot...also can be used with packaged coffee beans. Overall I find it very functional and easy to use!

The 2 screens definitely help to keep any small particles out of your brew. The insulated pot does keep your coffee hot longer. I hand wash this press. The wooden handle has some type of thin lacquer on it. After the second cleaning, it started to wash off. Glad I didn't put it in the dishwasher. Besides the handle, this is a decent press.

This is a perfectly fine french press. French press is our preferred way of brewing, and we’ve been using them for years. We needed a backup, and are pretty happy with this. It’s more stylish than our daily driver (which we use more often because it’s bigger).Oddly, this didn’t come with any instructions. No idea if it’s dishwasher safe. Because of the wood/cork top and handle, I don’t think it is. Also, the second filter came outside of the pot, so I thought it was a backup. Only when coming back here and looking at the pictures did I realize it’s supposed to double up on the press. It’s got a cool vintage look. Straight out of the 60’s!My star ratings explained:5 stars = Exceptional. I recommend to friends.4 stars = Exceeded expectations.3 stars = Met expectations. Satisfied with purchase but not overwhelmed.2 stars = Failed to meet expectations but usable.1 star = Avoid
