Incorrect and inadequate part description. There are long medium and short reach derailers and left and right facing variants and different mounts.

This derailleur is for my wife's older Schwinn "Mountain Bike" Mesa Runner. The spring to the original derailleur ejected, leaving it unusable. The design of this derailleur is superior in nearly every way. Unfortunately for me, I did not know that what I needed was a standard derailleur hook which faces towards the front of the bike allowing the rear wheel to be removed without needing to remove the derailleur. Kudos to the customer service department who answered all my questions and gave me the correct part number, graciously taking my return and refunding me the money.
