Great kit, the line is smooth and knots easily. Weight has plenty of heft to come back down through branches. Good value.

Looking forward to the time this will save it's one of those things you tell yourself why bother having but always find yourself in that spot of wishing you had just dolled out the money. I do wish it had a few smaller weights in the kitchen but then again just go for the big one was my thought. Its always a headache trying to get a rope up around a tree. Have yet to use it but packaging wise it's a nice little kit with the weighted pouch fitting right into. The draw line itself is a decent little spool with enough to allow pulling up a tug rope. Wonder how many times it will fair on a usecase as tree bark can be pretty rough stuff. Time will tell.

I've had to start trimming down several mature trees on our property and having this arborist line kit has been a lifesaver. Using a rope saw to take down tall limbs requires a kit like this and this one does the job well. It does take a little practice to get good at throwing the line where you want the saw to go, but once you get the handle of it, this kit makes getting those limbs down a breeze. The throw weight seems like the ideal weight to me and the the spool comes with plenty of line that does not get all tangled up when using it. I can say that I am very glad I ordered this kit and it works great! Highly recommend!

Throw bag made of tough material and sewn well. The bag is 10 oz by my kitchen scale, a good weight for even the highest throw.I use a throw line often, and the braided rope in this kit feeds and retrieves well.I'd prefer a little bigger bag. I had to stop feeding the line into the bag frequently so I could compress the line to make more space. A bit time consuming if you're on the job.Sometimes I need to climb with a throw bag and a ring/attachment point would also be a plus.All in all this is a nice and very capable throw line and bag.

It was 1 degree Fahrenheit this morning so trying this out right now is out of the question, but from what I see this is going to be a big help once things warm up this spring. I've tried to do what this kit is used for but the line I used kept getting snagged on tree bark. The rope included in this kit is a big improvement over fine nylon line since it's slippery and doesn't seem like it would hang up as easily. It's loaded on a decent sized spool so it should peel off without much problem. There have been some reviews about the weight bag coming unsewn and I'll have to see if it holds up, but resewing it is relatively easy if that happens.The bag for this kit is a bit small and I had a bit of trouble getting the spool back in. It's not a big deal, but a little more room would make it easier to pack up.I'll update this review when the weather breaks and I can use it a bit.
