Hi, it’s very lightweight and twisted, it needs warming up to straighten it out a bit, it is useable, I’ve been jump roping/skipping a few months now and found this sort isn’t the best, if you want to get into, I suggest a slightly heavier and better quality, you get what you pay for this is cheap and light and for me only just useable 😀

This skipping rope is really sturdy and resistant. The handles are light and made of plastic, perfectly balanced, really liked them. The ropes are light but won't be moved by the wind (I tried it). Really satisfied, and highly recommended.
