I'll start by saying there are few products on the market that do what this one is meant to - a compact combination masthead running light and all around white anchor light. It fails at the latter.One star for price and a second because I did end up using parts of it.For some reason the aft half, which is meant to be the second portion of the all around light, is baffled left and right restricting it's field and preventing it from being an actual 360 degree source. It therefore does not meet the requirements of a 360 degree Anchor light.In addition to this design flaw, the product I received was assembled with a lean in the connection between the mount and the pole. When mounted to a flat surface it angled to starboard.The forward facing half is designed as it should be with a 240 degree field for use as a running light (in combination with a transom stern light). Good.I was able to overcome these flaws by dismantling the fixture, cutting off the baffles, and mounting it to my existing post.I would have returned it had a suitable alternative been available. The products I found appear to be the same unit under different brand names or wildly different from what I was looking for.

Unfortunately for me, it's already too late to return because I wasn't able to install it immediately. But when I was able to try it out today, one of the bulbs was bad out of the box. I hope I can find a replacement for the bulb.Edit: The bulb was not bad. The wiring had me confused. The white AND the red wire must be sent to the positive post for both bulbs to work. I am not sure why it is wired this way, but now it works great.

The wiring needs an additional sheath covering for the three wires that remain outside in the weather. My previous unit had a covering for the exposed wires. For some reason the holes did not line up with the holes in the mast off by 1/8 inch. They measured as exactly as noted in one of the questions so not the manufacturer's fault. Previous light by another brand matched exactly. Quality excellent.
