This is a great sleeping bag for casual camping trips. My wife is 5'6" and there's plenty of room not just for her to sleep comfortably, but also to store the next day's clothes at the bottom—keeps her feet warm at night and makes sure her clothes aren’t freezing in the morning.I have the 15-degree long version, which weighs about 5 pounds. It’s definitely not ultralight like featherdown bags, but for car camping, it’s perfect. Zipper works smoothly, warm, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Great value for the comfort it provides.

This sleeping bag is exceptionally well-made and truly delivers on warmth. The insulation is thoughtfully designed to retain heat where it's needed most, making it a reliable companion for chilly nights outdoors. The inner zipper provides an extra layer of insulation, ensuring you stay snug even when temperatures drop. While the sleeping bag itself offers great comfort, I found that adding a camping pad or mattress underneath significantly improves overall support. If you're someone who prefers a little extra cushioning, this is something to keep in mind.My wife, who is 5'4", found the fit to be perfect, with just enough room to move around comfortably without feeling too restricted. The contour shape is specifically designed for women, allowing for natural movement, especially for side sleepers. It’s spacious enough to adjust positions with ease, yet still maintains a thermally efficient structure to trap body heat effectively. What I Like:Exceptional Warmth – The women’s contour design and body-mapped insulation ensure optimal heat retention, especially around the core.Versatile Design – The extended side zipper allows for custom ventilation, making it adaptable to different temperatures. Plus, it can be fully unzipped and used as a quilt.Wearable for Convenience – The shoulder snaps and footbox zipper allow you to wear it around camp, adding to its functionality.Eco-Friendly Materials – Made with RCS-certified recycled fabrics and insulation, featuring a non-PFAS DWR shell for moisture resistance.Concerns:Needs Extra Padding – While the bag itself is comfortable, adding a camping mattress or pad underneath enhances overall support and prevents discomfort from the ground.Final Thoughts:This sleeping bag is an excellent choice for women looking for warmth, comfort, and versatility. The thoughtful design makes it easy to adjust temperature levels, whether you need full insulation or a more breathable setup. If you plan on camping in colder conditions, this is a great investment—just be sure to bring along a sleeping pad for maximum comfort.

I'm just under 5'6" tall and the regular woman's bag is just about the right length. If you are over 5'6" tall, consider the tall bag instead. We have both the women's and the standard 30deg Sea to Summit Hamelin bags. The quality of the materials, coupled with the design, is superior. With the numerous venting capabilities to the overall fit, this is a very nice bag from a reputable manufacturer. The zippers are glide well and don't get hung up. Since the fill is synthetic, the bag doesn't compact as small as a down bag, but it seems to be smaller than a standard synthetic bag. That said, the size is better for camping rather than backpacking. The specs for the women's regular versus the standard regular are:Women's: Regular:Fill - 1070g (2lb, 6oz) Fill - 710g (1lb, 9oz)Shoulder - 57" Shoulder - 62.2"Hip - 55.1" Hip - 57.4"Footbox - 42.9" Footbox - 46.8"Overall Weight - 3lb 3oz Overall Weight - 2lbs 8ozAfter first trying the regular bag, I thought the women's bag might be more constricting considering the smaller overall widths. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I still felt that I had adequate room to move around when the bag is fully zipped (it did still feel "mummy", but so did the other bag). In the end, since I get cold easily, I'm happy to trade the smaller widths for the extra fill.

This is pitched as a mummy-style bag for women. The placement of the insulation is apparently intended to provide targeted warmth for women based on the differences in how women need warmth during sleep compared with men. It's been hard to verify that this is the case, with the weather warming up in our area - any attempt to compare unisex bags to this haven't generated the kind of results that are conclusive. It's likely you won't notice a difference, if there is a significant one, unless you are near the lower end of the temperature range. For sizing, the long is good for a woman just under 6 feet in height. They had room above and below. Most tall women should be able to fit in this, unless you are playing WNBA.I have no doubt this will keep you nice and warm on even colder nights than we experienced, with winter nights being an option for warmer sleepers. Just be mindful of warm nights - this is going to make you uncomfortable if you are fully wrapped. The fill is warm.It packs down small enough to fit on its side in an Osprey 44L backpack, sliding to the very bottom. I think this is a good option for backpacking, though car camping will be even easier. It's a great bag for an adult female, with the long option extending the range to the majority of women. An easy recommendation.

Sea to Summit has long been one of my favorite outdoor gear makers. They produce high quality, long-lasting gear at fair prices. This bag is no exception. It's very well-designed with synthetic insulation that is rated to 15°F. One unique feature I've seen on very few sleeping bags is the foot zipper and shoulder snaps which allow you to wear the bag around camp. This is especially nice for something like star-watching outside the tent. You can enjoy the stars in a warm bag and then just walk back to the tent. The extra width is nice for women with more curves but even as a man I like the extra space to move my knees without having them press up tight agains the bag which makes a cold spot. One important thing to know about this bag is that it is probably not what most people would take backpacking. At 5lbs it's pretty heavy for a sleeping bag. But it's great for river trips, basecamps, or motorized transport to a camping site. Overall I really like this bag and would recommend it for everything but backpacking.
