We really like the waistband with the gripper seam to hold the jersey in place. These are working well in summer league play. I'd get a size up if you're using pads, and a belt if you don't have one. Then they're great, the proportions are good, and I found the fabric to be very comfortable and breathe well. Unlike some pants, they are stretchy enough for game situations.As others noted, it comes without a belt and without pads. The product description could say this more clearly.

They fit well. My son likes them a lot, but they do not come with pads or a belt. Those are sold separately and not disclosed on the page.
