These are BY FAR the absolute best legal pads I have ever found. I should probably be embarrassed by how many I have ordered but I'm not. I use fountain pens, and they still don't bleed through the pages. The colors are all lovely, but don't they interfere with seeing the lines properly. They have the sturdiest backing I have found; it's practically like a clipboard. When I find a notepad I like, I feel that my writing ability improves immensely in every way and the ease and smoothness of the paper is remarkable. I honestly feel that these are well worth the cost. Trust me and buy these. The only thing problem you'll run into is wanting to buy more!

I love the feel of a thick ballpoint pen on the soft recycled paper of yesteryear: those manila-brown, wide-ruled tablets from my elementary school days. They've been hard to find in recent years, as making "high quality" recycled paper has become a less expensive proposition. These tablets let me relive the joy of writing smoothly on soft paper, taking me back to childhood. The colors of the paper are a soft pastel, much more lovely than the brown ones of my youth, but the tablets still indent and take ink beautifully. A joy to write on. No, they aren't super thick, and no, they aren't the best quality product you've ever seen, but they're exactly what I wanted, and I hope they never stop making them.

They are not Ivory. They're almost as glaringly, bright yellow as the usual yellow pads.
