Whether this is actually made of mahogany or just stained mahogany, I am not totally sure. Beyond that it doesn't fit the holder very well, and I can not seem to find anything I can attach it to. When I asked the seller about a vise or a mount that this point, or whatever, will fit into, the seller only commented on hat they wanted to see a pic of my work bench...nothing about a mount that this will fit. Not helpful at all. I will not be going to this seller for anything in the future. Buyer beware.

The ring clamp does not stay in its grove. It wobbles and if touched falls out of the groove.

Pics show the added thermo plastic and then how the clamp sits when the pin is flat vs slope side up.Unfortunately, the hole in the bench pin is too large for the clamp. Further, when you put the clamp in with the pin oriented in the way that it slopes down, the clamp has the added tendency to slide forward and fall out the front.Fixing how wide it was was easy. I just used a bit of thermo plastic there. Even still, the clamp slid forward. Then I tried it on the bottom flat side and it's perfect.So, I'm happy with what I've ended up with after the mods but disappointed that I had to mod it to begin with. Ultimately, though, I'm not able to justify spending the money on the GRS Benchmate yet and this is the best alternative I've found so far.
