LOVE this bug catcher. This is super easy for my kids to use. We've put every kind of bug you could imagine in here. It's perfect for butterflies because they can climb the netting part. The clear side is awesome for viewing the bugs. Handle on top is nice feature and we can attach it to our stroller caddy on walks. Its light weight and compact when folded down. It's been dropped many times by the kids and still in great shape!

Bought this to transport a butterfly in (yes you read that correctly). It did the job perfectly. Would recommend this as a good smaller enclosure.

We use these for bat transport.I'm a certified wildlife transport & the rehabber I'm certified under mainly rehabs bats. I go all over East & south Texas to pick up many different species, small & large, of bats. Sometimes I have them a few days, sometimes overnight, ounce I drove 12 straight hours to South Texas to pick up a bat, then to North texas, to drop her off, then back home to East Texas. She was a hoary bat, which is one of the largest in Texas& she was totally secure in this habitat. We magnet a small fleece cloth to the top for them to hang in.If you ever come across a bat, don't freak out & don't ever touch one barehanded! You can secure it in a box, without picking it up barehanded & call animal control or look up a rehabber in your area. They're not little devils & I've never had one try to bite me so this little habitat is perfectly safe for transport. Here in Texas, if you touch a bat barehanded, whether it bites you or not, they will euthanize it & test it for rabies so NEVER grab one with your hands, please!

I am a beekeeper, this was initially purchased as my little guy's "baby's beesuit". Yes he loves a stuff Miss Piggy named "baby" 🤷♀️We cannot help who we love 💚 while the insect cage does its job of protecting Baby from the bees when my guy is helping me in our beehives it has also served wonderfully for taking bees into the school and magnifying them under projectors. The attached bee picture was right through the clear top, bees were zippered inside. Common sense says not to poke the critters while they are in the insect pyramid, yes they can still sting through, but it is wonderful for observation. The metal frame is encased in the black bias siding, and the metal could be more sturdy, hence my 4star rating. The metal in the frame has already started to twist making it more difficult to collapse when not in use. Overall I am still happy with the purchase.

For the 'Wondering 1st Time Bug Enthusiast' ----- there is NO BETTER!!!!The only small habitat I could find with a HANDLE for CARRYING/RELEASE!Fits inside the house without taking up any room!!Approx 11.5" high....... 11.5" up, down, sideways!!!Purchased for my very 1st two praying mantis egg cases. Worked beyond perfection.EggCase #1 produced approx 150 babies...... and all had room to climb around and not get into each other's way -----hence preventing them from eating one another (kept 24-32 hrs before release into garden). This puppy R-O-C-K-S!!!!!! I would recommend to any teacher, any individual in a FLEETING moment! Handle allows to be carries for release, or to-from school, or just to share with friends!! AND FOLKS of all sorts just love seeing what's inside!*!*!*!*It's an attention-getter beyond all (oh no, expect curiosity to abound should you be walking with this, even for release)!!!! I had 5 adults & 8 children ALL wonder&ask what's inside!!!!!All in all..... PERFECT for my egg clutch of Praying Mantis Hatching & Release. Not to mention that air breathability & 'fine misting' works beyond fabulous in this puppy..... I just may keep this in mind for xmas gifts with a bug egg or two :)At mid 50 yrs old......... I'm hard to satisfy, but this ---THIS rocked my lil world :))))MOST EXCELLENT!!!!!!!
