I received this saucepan yesterday and was pleased it came well packaged in a sturdy box. Today I gave it a quick wash as suggested in the information supplied. I first tried it with some water in as a lot of saucepans don’t like my Neff induction hob. This one worked very well. I then tried cooking an omelette and must say it cooked very well and has also cleaned very easily. I put a small spray of olive oil in first and it didn’t stick at all which was excellent. It is a nice looking pan - the first ceramic pan I have bought and it so far, has been great. It isn’t the cheapest of pan but compared to the bigger names it is very good value for money. Hopefully it will continue to work well.

A superb quality frying pan from Redchef. The outside of the pan is a shiny stainless steel, whilst the inside is a really interesting beige/cream ceramic coating, with the ceramic applied between 'honeycombs' of stainless steel, with interesting wavy patterns around the inside of the edge/rim. It's quite different to a standard ceramic coating - extremely tough, not smooth yet somehow nothing sticks to it at all. Far superior to a Teflon pan in terms of non-stick performance.I'm cooking on a glass electric hob (it can be used on gas, electric, induction, ceramic and halogen hobs) and am finding that the food needs a lower cooking temperature (I don't understand why, perhaps it's to do with the pan's surface), so hopefully this will help save energy too. I love that it's non-toxic. The 24cm size is very handy for cooking for 1-2 people, or for small quantities as part of a larger meal, rather than getting out a big frying pan every time.I haven't found the handle to get hot, even when cooking for 20 minutes plus. Although the instructions state that it could with prolonged cooking, I didn't find this. The handle is ergonomically shaped and easy to grasp. It's firmly riveted to the side of the pan so no assembly is required. We use the non-scratch kind, and I use wooden and non-stick utensils, even though these can be used with metal utensils and the coating does seem tough enough for that (I just don't have any and like the pan too much to even try, lol). The pan is super-easy to clean by hand as even grease comes off very easily - my pan looks like new after cooking a rice dish, sausages and eggs (separately). There's no discolouration either (I've had this with some pans which then need an extra scrub, but not this one). It's not a 'cheap' frying pan (in either sense), but I think it's worth paying a little more for the very robust construction, the ease of use and longevity, so I do think it's about the right value price-wise.

This is a slightly strange looking omelette pan from Redchef, however it’s still very attractive and well-designed.The non-stick cooking surface is something I’ve never seen before and it looks like a honeycomb matrix of elements that stand slightly proud of the pan’s surface, giving it a definite textured feel.I’m not sure what this honeycomb pattern brings to the table but I really enjoyed using this pan and found it was particularly quiet on my induction hob, when most of my other pans all crackle when they expand with heat. This pan looks nice and I liked that it was completely silver on the underside as it matched well with the handle and overall simple design.I’ve been using this predominantly for scrambled eggs, whether that’s just for me or myself +2 and it's the perfect size for that and a bit more.In use I found that it heats up quickly and appears to provide a nice even heat to the bottom of the pan so your food doesn’t need to be encouraged into the centre spot.I had no issues with the non-stick properties and found this very easy to clean afterwards although you might notice that food sticks a little to rim of the pan, just above the honeycomb area, however this shows that the non-stick surface does its job well.Being only 24cm, I would probably reach for something larger if I was cooking a meat and sauce dish for two or more but overall, I liked this pan, which is the pan I now reach for the most of the time, depending how many mouths I’m feeding.Good quality induction pans aren’t cheap and this was benefitting from a discount when reviewed that brought it down to just under £40.00 which I think is a pretty good price for the quality and design of this pan making it easy to recommend.

This frying pan from Redchef comes nicely packaged in a presentation box complete with a usage guide. The pan immediately emanates the feeling of a well-made, robust utensil. It has a good weight to the pan, while the handle is also solid with a decent grip to it.The frying pan has a shiny polished stainless steel finish to the sides, the rim and the handle. The base of the pan has a brushed finish instead, printed with the brand logo.Probably the key feature of this pan is the ceramic non-stick coating applied to the cooking area. We have moved away from non-stick pans in favour of plain stainless steel ones due to the toxicity of some non-stick coatings. The ceramic coating used with this pan is non-toxic.It is also arranged in an attractive design, with a honeycomb pattern on the top surface and a different leaf-like motif on the inside edge. The handle is riveted on, with two rivet heads visible on the inside. The handle itself is solid, splitting into two where it meets the pan and featuring a hanging hole at the end.Because the handle is solid there are no water traps, although the area where the handle meets the pan creates a couple of crevices which make cleaning a little more difficult. In tests, the pan heated up quickly on our induction hob and remained responsive to changes in power, giving a good degree of control throughout the cooking process. Although the food was browned and crisped, there was no suggestion of any sticking and the pan wiped clean very easily. The pan has good balance, allowing cooked food to be tipped out onto a plate without any undue wrist strain. In all, we are very happy with this frying pan. It looks attractive, feels robust and cooks well.

Feels really premium when compared to my Intignis and Ninja pans. Have seasoned it and it heats up super quick and is non stick.
