どこにでもある普通のペット用マット…だと思っていたのですが、不意に給水器の水をこぼした時に水気がササッと吸い込まれていくその速さを見て考えを改めました。触ると表面に水気自体はかなり残っているのですが見た目が乾いたように見えるだけで違います。フードの汚れは普通に付着しますが付着しずらいのはありがたい。裏面の滑り止めもしっかり機能していますし、これは良いモノだ！

This mat is a nice large size, so you can put at least two pet dishes on it and still have enough space for any crumbs or spillage to stay on the mat.The material does a good job at catching those crumbs and spills, but when it comes to liquids, it gets a little weird. On the one hand, it's good at trapping the liquid because it basically this half-in-half half absorbent material, so it starts to soak in the water, but that also means that the water is trapped in the mat, so it can get mouldy if it's not dealt with.Our pets are used to eating their food in an area that is carpeted, so this also meant I needed to get a sheet to put under the mat so it didn't soak into the carpet.If you keep an eye on the spillage and it doesn't get soaked, you're not going to have much of an issue, but if this is being used by a dog that gets water everywhere, then you might end up having to clean this mat, and underneath it more often then it's worth.

This mat works great and as intended! It is a good size and color and has no detectable odor, like many mats of this style. It cleans up easy with just a wet paper towel. The bottom has a nice non-slip coating, so it stays put!I ended up using this under my garbage can though! My can slipped around a lot and was scuffing up my floor. The area I had it in looked like the perfect fit for this mat, and it was!I’ve found that it works well so that I can wipe up anything that happens to get on the floor near it. Also, the mat stays place and the garbage can stays place on top of it. I don’t think a mat intended for this could have worked better!

I am a little bit disappointed in this mat. It's a decent size but the material it's made of is a bit odd. It absorbs any liquid.... and then holds on to that liquid and leaves moisture under it. And if you clean it, it retains the water. If using as a pet mat, I need it to repel the water from my hardwood floors and easy to clean the wet food off of it. Might work best if not used with liquids.
