works great for most paint brushes, easy to clean, it is part of my cleaning tools. think it helps save my paint brushes, so it saves me money.

It's always in the tool box. Easy to store or toss in glove box. Works really well to clean bristles mid day in the sun or at the end of day anywhere. Saves time in clean up fair price

I wish I had of bought one of these sooner. It makes cleaning paint brushes so easy and is very well made.

My husband uses this tool when he paints. He always states that this tool helps with cleaning his paint brushes and ensures they last years. Bought as Christmas stocking stuffers for my sons who recently bought homes.

If you have bought yourself good quality paint brushes (like Purdy's) then you will want to look after them properly. Cleaning with solvent (either water for water based paints or white spirit for oil based paints) will remove most of the paint residue. However, you will find that it is almost impossible to remove the paint from the stock of the brush (the part where the bristles are set into the handle).To clean brushes thoroughly you really need one of these brush combs which will help tease the paint out right down to the stock.PS Don't be tempted to use a normal steel comb which will ruin the brush, the Purdy comb is designed to clean without damage.Purdy combs not cheap but then neither are good brushes!
