I purchased this size paint roller to repaint an old basement garden room with open stud walls. Our house turned 100 years old in 2021 so you can imagine how rough the walls and studs were. The smaller size was perfect for getting between the studs and painting the 4 inch wide face of the studs too. In addition, the nap worked quite well to cover the roughness of the old wood without too many passes. A bonus was that it was easy to clean.
