I bought this to replace an unbalanced wheel. This new wheel was perfectly balanced and ground well. I used it to grind a wood-splitting wedge that was mushroomed and dangerous. But this is too fine a grit for that. I am going to use it for wood chisels.

I have no issues with this grinding wheel, its solid and well made. Works well for dressing lawn mower blades and general fabrication of all kinds of steels. Make sure your rotational speed is not faster than the max listed on the stone.

I bought this wheel for grinding my wood lathe tools. My grinder had a 80 grit and 36 grit wheels. I wanted a better finish on my tools. This wheel does a great job with a decent finish. At 100 grit it cuts the high speed steel tools very fast, so now I plan on getting another one at a finer grit and using the 100 grit as my roughing wheel. Great product!
