We farm and had a set of these. They come in handy for many things. We bought some cheaper ones at Menards and their cheapness made us turn around and buy more of this brand.

These are high quality Jorgensen clamps and at under $5 each, they're a bargain. However, because the clamp is so sturdy and the grip portion is so close to the pivot (closer than the jaw opening), you don't get much clamping force. I actually think they might work better if there were some flex in the jaws so you could reach the next position in the ratcheting mechanism.No regrets on buying them for $5 each. Not sure I'd buy them at 10 which is the current price, unless I knew I needed the reach and didn't need much pressure.
