I got this for my 5 year old, her 2nd polly pocket toy. My sister used to play with polly pocket 36 years ago, so it's cool to see the brand is still alive and well. This little set provides a good amount of play time for our daughter and she loves the little places to store the pieces. Its easy to pick up and take on the go and while the material is plastic it's very sturdy. For the price, its a little high, but the build quality makes it worth it.

It’s what we expected! My daughter collects Polly pockets and has a lot of experience with these. She’s 8 now and has been playing with them since she was 4. I would not recommend these for most four or even five year olds though. Unless they’re like mine, and really careful and meticulous with their toys. This one in particular is very nice, has lots of accessories, everything fits everywhere. Two things that need fixed- the hot air balloon does not have a little peg in it to hold the people in place. And it doesn’t come with the “magnetic” stickers that you can put around for them to be able to “stand” on. My daughter was thrilled with this addition to her collection. Would make a great gift for 6-9 year girls.

I got this for myself--because, nostalgia. I remember they came out just as I was leaving my own childhood and missed them, but still thought they were super cute. As I was going to review this I asked my three year old son if he wanted to open it, and he went wild. It's 36hours later and this little set is still getting playtime. He thinks it's the bees knees and the cats meow. He does wish it had another person, but he has a girl and dog so he's making due. Obviously pieces are tiny so they're going to get lost (we had a doll hunt this morning already as he fell asleep with the doll and she was somewhere among the covers!) but the container does the best it can to keep things compact. This set has a life among the clouds and a sunken moon lounge area theme. I love that there's little connecting points all over the place to help keep the accessories in place, like the table with a cake.

This review is for the Polly Pocket Big Pocket World. Photos are accurate but product details are missing from the current listing- this is the Cozy Dreamland Compact that looks like a unicorn lamb. The compact is approximately 5.5 inches long. The person is about 1.25 inches long and has moveable arms and legs. This comes with 10 accessories (person, pony, chair, hot air balloon, table, 2 chairs, cupcake, star and balloon bunch) plus 2 compact decorations (skirt and heart). The lambs skirt fits around the outside of the compact and needs to be removed to open. Overall it’s a cute kit and pretty standard Polly Pocket set.
