My son asked for a pirate ship and a small boat this year for Christmas and I went with Playmobil primarily because they were manufactured in Germany (most parts). My son is 3 and some of the small parts on the larger pirate ship are hard for him to handle easily but I set those aside for now and he loves it. I have to say,..I think I love it even more. It is designed very well and its really fun to put together and play with. He plays with it in the bathtub every night.
