Ganz ehrlich, als ich dieses Set gesehen habe, war der „Will-haben-Moment“ wohl eher auf meiner Seite als auf der meines Sohnes. Ich bin mit den Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles aufgewachsen, und für meine Generation sind Leonardo, Donatello & Co. echte Kindheitshelden. Mein Sohn hingegen kannte die Figuren nicht, aber seine große Leidenschaft ist Knete – und zwar nicht direkt das bloße Formen, sondern Kneten in Verbindung mit kreativen Spielereien, ähnlich wie bei der guten alten Knetwerk, die schon uns damals begeistert hat.Und tatsächlich hatten wir beide sofort unseren Spaß. Während ich mich in die eigene Kindheit zurückversetzt fühlte, stürzte sich mein Sohn begeistert auf die quietschbunten, wenn auch winzig kleinen, halb gefüllten Knetdosen. Die vier Turtle-Figuren sind angenehm flexibel und haben eine wirklich witzige Funktion: Jeder Panzer lässt sich öffnen und verbirgt Formen, mit denen man aus Knete passende Gürtel und sogar Waffen für die jeweilige Figur herstellen kann. Das Zubehör ist ebenfalls eine nette Ergänzung, auch wenn man hier qualitative Abstriche machen muss. Vor allem die mitgelieferte Schere ist leider kaum zu gebrauchen und eher frustrierend als hilfreich. Das ist schade, trübt den Gesamtspaß aber nur geringfügig. Die Hauptsache war, dass mein Sohn völlig vertieft und mit Freude seine eigenen „Ausrüstungsgegenstände“ für die Turtles erschaffen hat.Beim Preis von knapp 35 Euro muss man kurz schlucken. Für die gebotene Qualität, insbesondere beim Zubehör und der sehr überschaubaren Knetmenge, ist das schon recht ambitioniert. Man zahlt hier eindeutig für die Lizenz und die originelle Spielidee mit. Es ist kein Schnäppchen, aber der Spaßfaktor macht den Preis wieder wett.

Ein echtes Highlight für kleine Ninja Turtles-Fans! Mit dem Cowabunga-Kreationen-Set können Kinder ihre Lieblingshelden aus Play-Doh formen – von Leonardo bis Michelangelo. Die mitgelieferten Werkzeuge und Formen machen das Kneten kinderleicht und regen die Fantasie an. Mein Kind hatte riesigen Spaß dabei, Pizzastücke zu „backen“ und kleine Szenen nachzuspielen. Die Farben sind kräftig, die Figuren gut erkennbar, und das Set ist eine tolle Mischung aus kreativem Basteln und Rollenspiel. Ideal für Regentage, Kindergeburtstage oder einfach für eine Portion Turtle-Action im Kinderzimmer!

This little TMNT set was easy to put together last evening, and the kids got right to the action. Yes, the pizza shooter is a bit finnicky, and the pizza Play-Doh doesn't really stay looking like pizza all that long when in use. But they had fun with it, and they still like shooting pieces of Play-Doh out of it, when they're able to pack it in well enough for it to work. As others have said, the Mikey toy is kind of the star of the show, and my 6-year-old has been playing with it nonstop. I was actually shocked at how affordable this kit is, as most kids toys these days are outrageously priced. They may not be playing with the whole set this time next week, but the Mikey toy and noodle maker thing will still be a hit for a while.

This playdoh set is a bit niche, and limited to making TMNT accessories to use with the posable action figure. You get a modest amount of playdoh, but you could do a lot better with a classic playset. Essentially this is only worth buying if: (a) you already have a decent amount of playdoh and tools; and (b) your child is really into TMNT. So, yeah, niche.

The Play Do Set arrives in a vivid brightly coloured cardboard box. There is a TMNT theme. This stands for either Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. It’s Ninja here. The Turtles are Named Leo; Raph; Donnie and Mike. Each Figure is about 5 or 6 Inches Tall and 5 or 6 Inches Wide. The Head and Feet seem to be Plastic while the Arms and legs feel Rubbery. On their back is a Backpack which opens up and becomes a mould for plasterine, The Turtles come with 4 Tools. There is Safety Scissors. Orange scissor like thing. A Purple Tube Thing which looks vaguely gun or weapon like. An orange cutting tool. All of these items come on a shaped plastic tray. Behind this is cardboard background. If you pull this out it reveals 8 tiny pots of Play Doh. I am surprised by how many pots are provided. However they are incredibly tiny pots of play doh so I would imagine that each pot would not go very far in terms of actually making something. You get a green pot,. Orange pot, purple pot, cyan pot, yellow pot, orangey/red pot, light hrowny pot, black pot.As far as instructions go you get a one page in incredibly font. On one side you get one paragraph in 25 languages. It says Modelling compound. Not intended to eaten. To clean remove excess compound let the rest dry then scrape away Always put compound back into container after play. Contains wheat. The other page is just information about the manufacturer Hasbro. Box states 227 Grams 8 Oz of compound. Only 3 containers are pictured on the box. But you actually get 8 containers. The box makes it clear that each tool is associated with a Turtle. Mike gets a knife like tool. Donnie gets a rolling tool. Raph gets a cutting tool. Leo gets scissors. Each Turtle has a mould back pack. The box shows how you can make plastercine pizzas with the materials provided in the box. I would have thought it would be difficult if not impossible to separate all those tiny bits of plastercine and put it back into the individual containers.This would be a fun gift for any children who are into teenage mutant ninja or hero turtles and or are into Play Doh. How much long term play value it would have is anyone’s guess. It’s all bright and vivid colours.

I got this for a birthday present for a young TMNT fan, and it was a definite winner. The combination of Play-Doh and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme makes it instantly appealing, and there’s enough going on in the set to keep kids occupied for a good while.The moulds and tools are well made and clearly themed around the characters, so it’s easy to make little versions of the turtles and their gear. There’s a mutation station contraption that lets you press out figures or mash up different pieces, which adds an interactive element that’s a bit more exciting than standard Play-Doh sets.The included colours are spot on for the characters, and while the tubs aren’t massive, they’re enough to get started with and can be topped up with regular Play-Doh if needed. Everything fits together well and feels sturdy enough for repeated play without breaking or becoming frustrating for little hands.One thing to note is that like any Play-Doh set, it can get a bit messy, especially when colours get mixed together. But that’s part of the fun, and it’s easy to clean up afterwards.Overall, this is a great little playset for any TMNT fan. It encourages creativity, keeps them busy, and adds a fun twist to regular Play-Doh play. A solid gift choice that’s more than just a themed gimmick.
