I got this pickle ball racket to try out the sport, but am yet to find an opportunity to use it. If you thought that this was just a wooden board with a handle, you would be wrong, it’s made of multiple layers sandwiched together, improving strength and bounce, the racket feels solid and has a well bound, carbon fibre handle, a good edging strap and is brightly coloured. It would be nice to have a cover, you can buy them separately, but they are not cheap, almost doubling the original price of £19.99 at time of review. However, this pickle ball racket does seem good value against other offerings and you could always take the cheaper option of storing it in a draw string bag or similar. The racket is advertised as being for beginners which is ideal for me, you can spend a lot of money for a professional racket. Because of the materials used the racket is light and feels quite natural/comfortable to hold in your hand.
