I use this Picard hammer for 'dishing' techniques while blacksmithing. It holds up to the use (not abuse) of forming hot steel into dished shapes, and hasn't shown an issue yet. I have a number of Picard hammers and like the quality. Everyone has their own experience and opinion, and mine is that overall this is a wonderful hammer that I would buy again if needed.
