This watering globe works exactly as I hoped! The terracotta spike attaches more securely to the bottom than other similar globes I've tried, and the open top means cleaning and refilling are much easier than with my old closed-style globes. I also love how it sits low to the ground, so it's a lot better balanced than long-stemmed globes. The glass is lovely, including the green stopper (which is secure but not difficult to remove--you may need to hold the globe when you remove it), and does not appear to have any damage or flaws.The box it was packaged in was very secure, with custom-fitted styrofoam to protect it, the cap, and the terracotta spike. It also came with a brief watering schedule reference chart, which gave suggestions for watering frequency for a number of types of plants. Overall the packaging and presentation were incredibly thoughtful. If my plants are any indication (I have a large plant stand with a a dozen or so plants using these globes), they are vibrant and flourishing using these new plant watering globes! In fact, I bought the first round of these globes through the Vine program, and returned to buy more sets!

These water globes with terra-cotta spikes are great. They work extremely well with planters that have drainage holes. a great design! They arrived promptly and are packaged very well. Came with instructions and very easy to put together. Has excellent water retention. Great customer service.

So happy with this globe and although the single one isn’t currently showing as being available, I plan to buy another (maybe the single if it returns to stock or perhaps the triple set so I can give one each to some family members). The globe is a really nice size for larger plants and it holds so much more water than the little ones I have. I really like that it has an easy to access top hole so I can simply refill using my thin spout watering can. When I see the water level is getting low, I just pop out the decorative top plug and fill! Since using this, I’ve been happy to see that, even without regular watering (like when we recently traveled for two weeks over a winter break), my plant hasn’t dried out and remained green and lush!I am really happy with the capacity, function, and also the design of this nice watering globe!

This watering globe is not only beautiful, it works too! It holds about 2 cups of water which slowly seeps out through a terracotta end, keeping your plant moist. I've had it in place for about a week and it still has about a cup of water in it.It comes securely packaged and arrived ready to go. Part of the packaging is a wooden dowl that I think is used to keep the globe in place in the packaging and I see that some other reviewers have left the stick in the globe, but I did not. The video in the description shows that you can use it to make a hole in the soil to insert the end of the globe in .

I've tried different methods to provide continuous watering for some of my plants that need it and nothing seemed to work. There's a big name-brand system that apparently works well but is too pricey for my pocketbook.Then I spotted this globe system and had to try it.I opened the box and found the unit to be packaged perfectly. I had had worries since this is a glass globe and half-expected it to be broken, but it was in great condition.The packaging is thoughtfully designed - you can tell they designed not only the globe well but everything else in the packaging. The instruction manual was clear and well-written, and most impressively they wanted feedback and to contact them with any concerns. They even said to contact them if it didn't work and they'd send another. Happily this wasn't an issue for me.The glass globe of this self-waterer is huge - it's hard to grip so beware handling it when your hands are wet. The stopper works very smoothly and it was easy to fill. I simply inserted into my prized plumeria (frangipani) plant. This boy is thirsty so I wanted to use the globe on it.I marked the water level with a Sharpie pen to monitor the water level, and after 3 days I see the water level decreasing just as I would have expected.This is awesome! It's working great and I can tell my plant is very happy. :) Now my only dilemma is how many I can afford!Seriously this is a great product well worth the cost. I plan to buy another 5 - 10 more of these.
