Die mögliche Erweiterung der Box ist gut, wenn man etwa beim Tierart länger warten muss oder das Tier längere Zeit etwa auf der Rückbank des Autos transportiert und so mehr Platz bekommen soll.Näheres bzw. die Unzulänglichkeiten folgend:Leichter Weichmacher-/Chemiegeruch – daher vor der Verwendung für die geruchsempfindlichen Tiere ausreichend lange auslüften lassen.Die Verarbeitung ist nur mäßig:Die Nähte sind zwar fest , aber nicht immer passgenau (siehe Bild).Die ausklappbare Raumerweiterung – versehen mit reißfester Gage – ist etwas hakelig. Das Ausklappen oder Einklappen funktioniert erst mit etwas Übung mit Hilfe von Videos aus dem Internet.Die Schulterträger und Rückenpolster sind zwar in Ordnung und die Schulterträger auch unkompliziert in der Länge verstellbar. Leider ist die Polsterung nicht so toll und man bemerkt etwaige Bewegungen des Tieres schon bzw. das Ganze ist nicht so stabil, dass man bequem etwa mehrere Stunden damit Laufen/Fahrradfahren könnte.Insofern ist der Einsatzbereich auf nur kurze Transportphasen beschränkt. Irgendwelche Ausführungen über längere „Trekkingtouren mit Tier“ mit diesem Rucksack sind daher vollkommener Unsinn. Das wäre eine Zumutung für alle Beteiligten.Die gazeverkleideten Seiten ermöglichen eine gute Belüftung und angstreduzierende Blickmöglichkeiten für das Tier.Die Reißverschlüsse sind etwas hakelig, was sich aber mit Drüberziehen mit einer Kerze lösen lässt.Die Gewichtsangaben des zu transportieren möglichen Tieres sind aufgrund der Größe des Rucksackes – die Angaben auf der Webseite stimmen – sowie der mäßigen Ausführung des Tragesystemes/Rückenpolsterung illusorisch:Es ist maximal ein Tier von ca. 5 kg ohne Probleme transportierbar; mehr geht vom Gewicht und der damit einhergehenden Größe nicht wirklich.Inwieweit das Tier mit der Transportmöghlichkeit klarkommt, muss man einfach ausprobieren. Zum Test wurde deine Katze per Fahrrad zum Tierarzt und zurück transportiert. Das Tier machte genauso viel/-wenig Krawall, wie beim Transport in einer Box.Ergo:Eine sehr praktische, innovative Alternative zur klassischen Box zum kurzen Transport des Tieres zum Tierarzt oder anderswohin, insbesondere auch fürs Fahrrad und / oder Motorrad/Roller.Die Verarbeitung ist aber nur mäßig. Die Gewichts Angabe ist unsinnig – schwerere Tiere als 5 kg können damit nicht wirklich komfortabel transportiert werden.Ich hoffe, dass ihnen diese Rezension gefallen hat.

3.5 stars.It has a lot of nice features, and my 15 pound girl fit inside of it well without being cramped (annoyed, but not cramped lol). The bottom seemed sturdy enough, how it will hold up over time, and constant use i'm not sure.Regardless, I wouldn't use this for hiking, or long excursions. Getting past all the features and seeing it as a backpack, the straps are thin, the back isn't padded much, and the material would take a beating if used for hiking often.Shorter excursions, or airport use seems the most optimal situation.

We have a large, hard-skinned pet carrier that we usually use for transporting both our cats to the vets or cattery. Unfortunately it is large, bulky and a pain to store, even in the garage, so we needed a smaller lightweight carrier for one of our cats when he developed hyperthyroidism and needs regular trips to the vets. This does the job very well.Folded up, it is dead easy to tuck away in, behind or on top of a cupboard. When folded out, it turns into a surprisingly sturdy cat carrier that can easily be carried on your back as well as by hand. Its comfortable clearly, as he was asleep when we used it the first time by the time we got to the vets rather than his regular moaning (does not like cars). It has a removable padded floor that I guess you can wash - not had to yet - and a foldout "porch" that normally forms the backpack back padding. Quite ingenious and clearly taken a few lessons from popup tents, though I would not try get the porch out with the resident still in.Overall I am very happy with the carrier. It gets 4 stars as two of the zips needed self-healing when we popped it open the first time, and again on the second use, but they seem sturdy once healed and during travel. Folding it back up into its small size was also a bit of a challenge after first opening it. Our ill cat is a bit of a bruiser also so picks at the netting which makes me a bit worried about its durability for long trips.But for the regular short vet trips this has become ideal - easy to store, easy to access and easy use and no complaints from its occupant.

I purchased this for my daughter’s guinea pig so she has a safe place to put her pet when cleaning its cage and a way to take it outside. I also believe everyone should have a good pet carrier for emergencies, like the wildfires we saw in California this year.This carrier has a really smart design. The floor is stiff and fuzzy, providing a comfortable surface, and I love how the backpack expands, doubling the interior space. The expansion opens easily from the outside, so you don’t have to struggle with it while handling your pet. Once the divider is unzipped, you can quickly zip up the mesh extension, preventing your pet from scurrying out.Everything is attached, so there are no loose parts to juggle, but the backpack still has two thin side pockets and a larger back pocket for accessories, toys, or supplies.A few things to note: Strong plastic smell at first, but it airs out within a day or two. The main floor is removable for washing, but the extension floor is not—which isn’t ideal for pets that aren’t potty trained. The mesh and chewable parts may not hold up if a pet is left unattended for long periods.Overall, great build quality and a well-thought-out design. With proper care, I see this lasting a long time. Highly recommended!

Two of my cats were investigating the carrier before I even got it fully zipped. The 12 pound calico turned it into her new base camp afterwards and swatted at anyone that dared try to remove her. She gives it 5 stars.I also give it five stars.The fleece base at the bottom of the carrier provides excellent support and is removable for spot cleaning. The back of the carrier is where the zip out lounge portion is and is also fleece lined and rigid for structure.The pack itself fits both my husband and I comfortably and once the straps are cinched, the pack is surprisingly stable unless you're bending upside down. The cat settled in quickly to ride around the house and had room to both sit and lay down.The side tops are mesh and allow plenty of airflow, the rest is more of a canvas so can take some wear and tear. There are open pockets on both sides and a zippered pouch on the front. The vinyl window on the front also zips open.Construction wise, it's very solidly assembled and functional. I couldn't find any loose seams or weak spots. The handle on top is sturdy. The entire carrier unzips and folds flat for storage if that's what you prefer. The zippers go from the bottom of the back, up the back, down the front sides, and join at the bottom - it's a bit diddly the first time because the zipper needs to be reorientrs around the piping in the edges but is quicker afterwards.The only downside of this pack was it smelled very strongly of plastic vinyl for the first two days so isn't something I'd want to put a pet in immediately. I left it assembled and it aired out fine.
