Used on sides of a 2x12 combo amp and worked beautifully. Best to carry with two people, much easier. They have some flex to them, but no issues. I ran small threaded bolts and a nut through. Never trust a screw in wood with your babies.

It was too big for what I wanted but it looked like a very strong handle it has a spring in it

Nice heavy duty folding handle. Great for adding handles to my wood projects. strong spring too.

Why the old Univox cabinet was designed sans handles of any kind escapes me. Perhaps the guitar heroes and roadies of the 60's and 70's had superior backs. Regardless, I grew weary of "bear hugging" this leviathon and to complete my restoration project (speakers, horns, cross overs and jacks) I added these smart and functional handles, should I chose to move the beast from its current resting place. Installation was a breeze with my choice of round head self tapping fastener and 3/8" power drill with Phillips #2 bit.

I am a musician and recently installed a subwoofer in the trunk of my 1994 2-door Honda Accord. However, in order to fit all my equipment for gigs and such, I will need to take the subwoofer out. I purchased some basic door pulls from Home Depot to attach to the sides of the sub. However, when I came across these on Amazon and read the reviews, and I ordered them.After just receiving these, I can say these are very well-made, they feel very solid and sturdy, and I love the low-profile set up, the spring-loaded action (keeps them from vibrating), and perhaps in contrast to what another reviewer had mentioned, it is built in such a way that the handles only raise up to 90 degrees and no more. These are basically perfect for what I needed and, although I paid about $7 more (mostly due to shipping) than the door pulls from HD, it is well worth it! FYI, my subwoofer is probably 50-60 lbs (sub + box + amp mounted to box).
