Funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Zange macht einen stabilen und funktionalen Eindruck. Für die einfache Reparatur von Kabelverbindungen bestens geeignet und für den Preis völlig ausreichend.

Ich muss ehrlich sagen ich bin echt enttäuscht vom Zustand und der Beschaffenheit

Die Zange hat eine gute Qualität. Preis/Leistung passen hier definitiv. Die Ergebnisse lassen nichts zu wünschen übrif. Ich würde das Set wieder kaufen.

After using old style crimper tools for my whole life I was so happy to get one that works so much better. I have not had to re-do one crimp on the last two projects I worked on.Life is short, even if they are not the best, get better tools!

Ich habe 0,5 mm² FLRY Kabel gecrimpt und das hält richtig gut, und ich hoffe, dass das auch dauerhaft dicht bleibt. Die Zange macht einen guten Eindruck, allerdings habe ich keine Profizangen zum Vergleich.

So ein Teil hat mir noch im Werkzeugsortiment gefehlt.Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen für dieses Produkt entschieden.Kann die Bewertungen nur voll bestätigen. Habe verschiedene Größen der mitgelieferten Verbinder benutzt. Ergebnisse waren sehr zufriedenstellend. Sauber und feste Verbindungen, Schrumpfschlauch mit Kleber funktioniert ebenfalls prima.Kann das Teil nur empfehlen.

I used to prefer heat-shrink solder-based butt wire connections, which are sleeves with a solder ring within that melts and floods the connection for assured electrical contact when there is application of heat. The outer plastic sleeve and its adhesive shrink and melt to make this connection one sealed unit. With such a romantic description, why do I no longer prefer this method?We're talking about butt joints here, where wire ends press against each other and there is no overlap of the connected wires. Something has to carry the current between the wires since you can't assure the two wire faces are actually touching when the connection is finalized. Now to the problem: when concerned for shrinking the outer plastic, the solder within may not get hot enough to melt well, the amount of included solder may not be enough to flow sufficiently, and for a good soldered connection the wire itself must be scale-free and get get hot enough to receive the solder, too. This works out most of the time, but when it doesn't you have no way of knowing. When it doesn't work out, you don't have a good indication that you haven't made a high resistance connection that might run hot when current runs through it. And it may not run hot when fresh, but only as it oxidizes over time, especially if the seal isn't perfect. That heat can break down the insulation, and the solder may melt and act as a lubricant for the wires to slip apart. This happened to me once, and once was enough.With an all-mechanical crimp there better be some assurance that the crimp is done well. With this kit you get both a ratcheting wire crimper and the heat shrink connectors made for each other, certified to be repeatedly functional to the correct tolerances. Shrink connectors are marked for the wire sizes they can hold, and the ring inside has enough material to carry all the current. With so much material in the ring, crimping can become difficult. That's where the ratcheting action comes in, magnifying your strength to get this done right.I've switched over to this much better engineered and approved system. Want to buy my old stock of solder-based butt wire connectors? I have no use for them any more.

I like the top tray holding the crimper and keeping the 3 connector sizes in place below. Nice Design!- FAR faster and better crimp than old method of twisting wires and using shrink tube, but water can still wick in. Or worse wire nuts that are hard to seal in weather (and I know some have weather seals, and grease, etc. but are more costly.- The shrink tubing works well and can be crimped closed with needle nose pliers if need be for smaller wire. The internal sealant was soft and ran slightly with the heat gun, and so makes a good seal around the wire in addition to the shrinking tube. I could see a little at the end of the tube, and when cold, it was firmly sealing the end. It's Not going to come out.When the crimps were done well, it held the wires so hard that I was unable to pull them out while pulling VERY HARD on both wires. (and that was before shrinking the tubing. )I will be getting some of the bullet type removable connectors, and some of the other types.--------------------------Dislikes: I Wish it also had a fourth even larger size than 10AWG.-------------------------As with any new tool, I always do some testing to learn the un-spoken gotchas to think of and watch out for:I had ONE connection that I think had actually crimped right at the edge of the center “wire stop”. That 14AWG wire came out when tugged on. The other end I had used a 20AWG stranded wire, and it held strongly.NOTE: the 20AWG yellow wire was too small for the heat shrink to close around it tightly.The nice thing about Heat shrink is that you can always squeeze the heat shrink together and it will seal tightly to itself. See the picture of the test connections.One pic. shows the small yellow wire sealed with the heat shrink flattened at the end. Works WELL.(NOTE: If you re-heat that crimped end, the heat shrink returns to its original round tube shape.)I had a couple test crimps that held well, but where they seemed to be toward the end of the crimp area, not further in like I thought I’d positioned them. I would seat the connector in the crimper and squeeze to kinda hold it while I pushed the wire into the end, and held the wire while then squeezing to finish the crimp. I suspect I was pushing too hard on the wire to be sure it didn’t back out during crimping which pushed the connector to the side, so it crimped in different spot. I'll know now to watch out for that also.It still held the wire against a very strong pull.– So Trial and Errors which are only there to learn from. (better now than when it counts).After one crimp like that I tried to make a second crimp a little further over on that end. The crimper wants to slide down over the previous crimp, not make a new crimp spot. In doing so, it may tear the plastic shrink tube open.So, if the wire was stuck well, don’t try to “improve” the crimp. (another lesson learned)I did some with 10AWG and 12AWG, and some others with 20AWG and 14AWG sizes. It was able to crimp them all very well once I learned how to manipulate it all, and what to watch out for. (No, I won’t normally be connecting a 20AWG to a 14AWG, etc.., these were to test sizes and performance.)-------------------
