Before I start the review, I have to say that I am a videographer and a photographer for about five years. I'm a fine art photographer, and I do every kind of videography. I decided to buy this camera after my nickel, the I-10 to have a. lighter camera with a more resolution and were more dynamic range and I was always suffering because of lack of lack of auto focus option in my camera and after. a lot of research day and night I came to the point that Sony is the best but Sony is extremely expensive, so you have to kind of go for the 2nd option and this was the 2nd option with an affordable price. I say affordable comparing to the price of Sony cameras Otherwise someone might laugh if I call this affordable. So the autofocus was good indeed. but something that so far gave me a little bit hard time in low light. The truth is I. used a lot of cameras, cannon, Nikon and Fuji. and they all kinda bad when it comes to the night videography or photography because of the noise in the footages. It's like a fact you have to deal with it so you have to only use them in a really good light unless it's a Sony S3 or other models of S series, they are just magnificent in low light. But who can afford that price? So take it with a grain of salt. This is what it is. This camera is also not 100% perfect, just like many other things. And the auto focus is really good. But again, not as good as Sony, but it's just a decision of yours. Do you want to spend that price for Sony? Or you want to go for the 2nd best option ?

Tralasciando tutte le specifiche tecniche reperibili ovunque, è una mirrorless di altissimo livello orientata fortemente ai video. Grazie ai codec specifici si ottengono risultati impressionanti. La presenza di ventole a bordo impedisce l'arresto per surriscaldamento.Il modello S5II-X permette di registrare direttamente su SSD esterno. Consiglio il bundle con l'ottimo 50mm f.1.8, un nifty fifty perfetto per i video.

Ich habe mir die Panasonic G5IIX als zusätzliche Kamera zu der Panasonic GH5S und Panasonic G70 gekauft, weil ich mich langsam zum Fotoprofi weiterentwickeln möchte, und bin überwältigt. Im Vergleich zu den FT-Kameras mit 10 bzw. 16 Megapixeln , ist die Pixelgröße derart enorm, dass wenig Umgebungslicht kein Problem ist. Ich habe Testaufnahme im dunklen Keller gemacht, und kein Bildrauschen entdeckt. Der Autofokus arbeitet zuverlässig. Für 6K 10 bit Videoaufnahmen ist eine SSD Notwendig.Automatischer Weißabgleich funktioniert hervorragend. Auch der 96 Megapixel Sensor shift Modus überzeugt. Ein Stativ wird dafür empfohlenDas 50mm F1.8 Objektiv aus dem Set entspricht in etwa einem 25 mm F 0.9 Objektiv bei FT-Sensoren und ermöglicht sehr schöne Bilder. Das ist ausreichen für schönes Bokeh. Für kunstfotografie perfekt ein 18 mm f1.8 und 70-200 F2.8 Objektiv werden noch gekauft.Negativ ist dass Panasonic das Kompressionsschema geändert hat und Rawtherapee (letzte Version vom Februar 2024) das RAW der S5IIX nicht nativ unterstützt, aber vielleicht ändert sich das in ein paar Monaten. Panasonic sollte die dokumentation der Formate nicht nur zu Adobe, sondern auch zu Open source entwickeln schicken oder auf seiner Seite offenlegenDer Kamera liegt nur eine rudimentäre Anleitung bei (gefaltetes A3 Blatt). Eine 900-seitige Anleitung kann man von Panasonic Webpräsenz runterladen. Bei dem Preis durchaus ok.Die Kamera setzt auf L-Mount, welches sich zu einem Standard entwickelt. Die Blackmagic setzt auch darauf, das heiße, es sind viele Objektive verfügbar.Insgesamt eine hervorragende und keineswegs überteuerte Kamera für Profis.

Ich hatte diese Kamera als Nachfolge meiner Video-Kamera - der Panasonic GH5II - angesehen. Kaum in Händen, war ich zuerst positiv angetan, dass die Menü-Struktur grundsätzlich die gleiche ist; ich mich also nicht umgewöhnen muss.Muss ich dennoch: Es sind zig Funktionen mehr. Vor allem in Verbindung mit Autofokus und Bildstabilisierung. Das Layout der Bedienknöpfe ist gut durchdacht; sie liegt überraschend gut in der Hand und ist erstaunlich leicht. Mit meinen relativ kleinen Händen komme ich nicht aus Versehen an irgendwelche Knöpfe und erreiche dennoch alle.Und da ich nun auch durch die Foto-Funktionen durch bin und alles ausgetestet habe muss ich sagen:Das ist eine geniale Video-Kamera.Aber das ist auch eine verdammt gute Foto-Kamera!!Gerade der Autofokus macht sich in beiden Bereichen bemerkbar.Beim ersten Footoshooting damit, hatte ich von mehreren Hundert Fotos und vielen verschiedenen Personen nur zwei bei denen die Schärfe nicht gestimmt hat - und das lag an mir selbst.Bei ruhigen Menschen vor der Kamera klappt sogar der High Resolution Modus für Portraits.Sagenhaft gutes Gerät. Hat nun zwei andere Kameras ersetzt.

Ich habe mir die S5IIx vor einem Jahr gegönnt (Dezember 2023). Da war sie noch etwas teurer, aber trotzdem ein guter Kauf, den ich nicht bereut habe. Meine Erwartungen wurden nicht nur erfüllt, sondern auch übertroffen. Macht alles, was sie kann eigentlich perfekt. Superscharfe Fotos und Videos mit allen wichtigen Einstellungen. Z.B. kann der Videomodus C4k und nicht nur UHD, wie alle Sonys. Mit vielen hilfreichen Funktionen, wie automatische Schärfeverlagerung. Für mich als Filmer genial ist die Möglichkeit, auf USB-SSD aufzuzeichnen... das ist so unkompliziert, dass ich das gar nicht mehr anders machen möchte. Der Autofocus beim filmen hat immer zuverlässig funktioniert. Das ist wirklich fantastisch. Ich benutzte sie hauptsächlich mit dem 24-105 F4 Zoom, dass wirklich atemberaubend gut ist. Absolut Knackscharf! Also für mich lässt die Kamera keine Wünsche offen. Da jetzt der Preis noch mal etwas reduziert wurde, kann ich nur empfehlen: zuschlagen und sich freuen über eine tolle Kamera.

This camera is amazing, it’s way above my abilities at the moment but I’m learning fast. I own a couple of decent Sony cameras, one is a low level DSLR but this one is on a whole different level and is the first mirrorless camera I’ve owned. The instruction manual is huge but very comprehensive and easy to find your way around. Unfortunately it’s not a printed copy, it can be downloaded but it’s too big to print off. I do prefer to read something on paper rather than a screen but online does allow you to easily find the section you need.It’s a very substantial sturdy camera but not so heavy that you can’t carry it around. I am a bit scared of dropping it so at the moment it’s either around my neck or on a tripod, a case is on order. The battery life is second to none, I charged it initially and throughout testing it’s not needed recharging and still shows 2 bars.Using the manual, I’ve been able to take a few better than decent photos, make adjustments and generally play around with the settings. The auto focus is my go to setting for now but as I understand the dials and settings more that will change. The screen and view finder give a beautifully clear image of the picture you’re about to take. I find the way the rear screen moves and rotates is very useful.The picture quality is amazing, better than anything I’ve taken on my other cameras. The depth of image really shows almost making some appear 3D. I love the little square in the view finder that allows you to focus in on certain areas or open it up to the whole screen. It’s the first time I’ve managed to blur everything other than the focal point. I’ve found all the dials and controls I’ve used to be very responsive.There is an option to add a flash but I’ve been so impressed with the low light level photos I’ve taken I won’t be purchasing one.I’ve not done much with the video function other than to make sure it works, to be honest I’ve not used that function much in previous cameras so I’m not sure I’ll get much use with this one either I’m more of a stills person. It is very easy though to move from still photography to video recording.As I’ve only used Sony cameras in the past this is taking a bit of getting used to but I have to say it does without doubt produce the best images I’ve ever shot.
