I went with a cheap 'replacement' part that listed my B&S engine in my Craftsmen L2000 mower. It never started. I pulled it out. The coil resistance on the original was 5k ohms, the 'replacement' was 10k ohms. Good thing Amazon has an easy return drop off at our neighborhood Kohl's. So, from $15 to $29 I got the Briggs and Stratton part. This even came with a 'feeler' gauge (paper) to set the gap correctly. Started on 1st try, been running fine for a month. This is a time you don't want to go cheap!

I did my research for the item and it worked out perfectly. It must fit properly to work. My engine started on first pull after the part was installed.

Replacement coil for my lawn tractor. Fits perfect and motor runs great again. Plug connection is different than original.Seems to be insulated already so old boot doesn't fit over it.
