I purchased this hood to replace the original hood on the Olympus 40-150 f2.8 lens. Nothing wrong with the original, but we all know what could happen. This hood fits perfectly and looks great.

Had two of the original lens hoods for the Olympus 40-150 fall apart on me (the original and one replacement). The original hoods are great when they work - and a disaster when they decide to self-destruct and fall apart. This lens hood is old-school, but it will not fall apart.

I bought this to replace a broken LH-76 hood on my 40 - 150 2.8 wanting to try and avoid the usual issues with that hood. Whilst it fits and would be fine it is not particularly secure on that lens and for wildlife would be easily dislodged in the field. Not perfect imo for a lens it wasn't designed for.
