Bought this to keep cats off my couch when I am home. They watch me leave and then run straight to the couch and chill until they hear me arrive home. I placed these on the couch and they worked well, but being stiff squares would fall off the arms and back. My solution is to place them on the floor at least 2 tiles deep around the couch. That works. No longer need to put plastic cover on couch before leaving. The tiles are lightweight and stackable.

We've got a smart puppy and retractable baby gates to keep him in the room where we train him. Well, he figured out that when people come home from work, he's small enough to slip under the retractable gate. We set a line of these up right below where the retractable gate pulls and never again did he try that little trick. I have stepped on it a couple times with my bare foot and it's startling but I've never broken skin because of them. Overall, great solution and now he's big enough he can't fit under the gates anymore :D

Very useful from keeping my cat from climbing on things I don't want her on. The points are sturdy and a good deterrent . The mat is a good size and can be cut down to the size you need. Works great for what I needed it for. I used them in multiple areas. Very easy to use and move if needed

My use was to keep an indoor cat from getting places I didn't want it. It worked OK at first. Then, the cat discovered that if it walked gently it could walk on the mat. Also, it may be necessary to place enough of the mats to prevent the cat from jumping over to the area where you don't want them. I have not seen it try to launch off of a mat. I think the mats might be effective for a large cat or some dogs. The quality of the product was satisfactory and the price was fair for the number of mats you get. I do think it will work for some situations.

We have 3 cats and a nice dining table. The cats would spend the night on the table (it has a nice view out the window), and jump down when I got down in the morning. This package was sufficient to guard the table as well as the chairs (leather upholstered) which the cats used to get to the table. They look a little odd (pokey place mats?), but store easily and compactly when we want to use the table, and no more cat fur on the table, no more cat scratches on the chairs! Yay! Love cats? Love nice furniture? Get these!
