This is such a great little adapter to be able to blow out water lines in a hose, sprinkler system, or RV. RV. I love the simplicity. It provides both male and female hose adapters, while also providing smaller threaded connections, I'm not exactly sure on the size but it has a lot of potential for other uses as well. It also has an air hose fitting on the other side of course to be able to connect to a compressor.I routinely blow out my sprinklers every year and I needed something to be able to do it. My last solution was less than elegant, so I'm really happy to have this product. It's really well made, all the ends seem really nicely crimped and able to hold pressure really well. It includes Teflon tape so that you can easily seal up your connectors as needed. It, of course also has a valve which is really convenient for blowing out sprinklers as you may need to turn it on and off as you change between zones and what not.For $24.99 CAD, this is really great value, especially considering all the different fittings you get. I really like this product and I would highly recommend it.

General Comments: Ontario, Canada, has four distinct seasons. Unlike urban areas such as Florida and Arizona, we close our outdoor pools and lawn irrigation systems during the winter months. The NUHUi winterizing kit is invaluable for DIY pool and lawn irrigation maintenance. My Recommendations and Procedures:Buy or Rent a Compressor:I opted to buy one. Compressors can weigh 80 pounds or more, making them difficult to carry around, especially for seniors. To work smart, I lift the compressor with a dolly and secure it with a strap. This setup allows me to move around my property without the compressor falling off. The trolley’s 8-inch air-filled tires help with undulating lawn surfaces.Blow Out Water from the Irrigation System:First, turn off the house water supply to the irrigation system, so the only water left is in the underground irrigation lines. My system has three valves serving the side yard, front yard, and back yard. I connect the NUHUi winterizing kit to the irrigation system and compressor via a garden hose connection at the irrigation end and the provided 1/4" INDUSTRIAL air quick-connect plug to my compressor. I open one of the three valves and close the other two. After powering up the compressor to create maximum pressure, I open the compressor valve, causing the sprinkler heads on the first valve to pop up and spray water. I then repeat the process on the other two valves. Given my compressor’s small air storage tank, I need to repeat this process about 7 or 8 times per valve to reduce the water effectively. This takes roughly one hour, and it gets easier with practice each year.Winterize an Inground 20,000-Gallon Pool:Shut all systems down first, leaving the pool about 95% winterized. The remaining task is to blow out standing water in the pool lines under the pool, connecting to the skimmer and two return lines, followed by installing the winter cover and water bags. Using the NUHUi winterizing kit, I connect it to the pool system and compressor. Upon powering the compressor to create maximum pressure, I open the compressor valve, expelling water from the lines into the pool and onto the deck. Due to my compressor’s tank size, I repeat this process about 8 times, taking roughly half an hour. It gets easier with experience each year.Using a Winter Cover and Water Bags:I use a black winter cover and 10 blue water bags to secure it to my concrete deck. Filling these bags with water using a garden hose is usually a two-person job. One person fills the bags, while the other turns the house faucet on and off. Additionally, the water bag fill ports are about the same size as the garden hose fitting, making it challenging to insert the hose. The NUHUi winterizing kit resolves this issue perfectly. One end fits onto the garden hose, and the other end with the 1/4" INDUSTRIAL air quick-connect plug easily fits into the water bag fill ports. The shut-off valve is a bonus, allowing one person to fill the bags efficiently without needing a second person.Bottom Line: The NUHUi winterizing kit ad focuses on RVs, but from my perspective, its simple design has no major moving parts, electronics, flashing lights, or extensive annual maintenance like a lot of equipment. It acts as a crucial “link” between my compressor and pool/lawn irrigation systems that facilitates my winterizing process. I am ecstatic. Simplicity is a good thing!

I've never blown the lines out on my RV when I winterized it. Just drained them and pumped the anti freeze threw. A friend of ours was doing it this year and I asked him about it. He said he has been doing it for years and gives him peace of mind that all the water is out of the lines. A few years back we did have one of the connections connected to our toilet break when we opted it up in the spring. Not 100% sure it was because it froze but figured I'd give this a try. It was simple to hook up too our RV e of monand with only a few psi I was surprised at how much water came out. After doing so I pumped the antifreeze threw the system as normal. For the price I'm quite please for the peace of mind. Nice that it came with both ends. I used the other connection to hook up to the out side taps at home and blew them out as well. Worked great for our 100ft garden hose as well.

If, you winterize your RV the way I do, by blowing water out of the lines with compressed air, you will like this. For years I've been using a homemade adapter - MHT -> 1/8 NPT. That worked well, except that when a freeze was imminent, I could never find the thing because it was small and good at hiding. I'd always find it, AFTER I had run to the hardware store to get the bits to make up another one. Somewhere, I probably have three of them by now. This is big enough that I'll be able to see it in the bottom of my on-the-road toolbox. And, because there's a valve, I won't to endure a shower of cold wet mist when I remove the air hose. It comes with two hose fitting adapters, M & F, and a large amount of PTFE tape, since it's not final assembled, allowing you to make it your own. Maybe put a pressure gauge on it...
