I ordered the gold set and I'm very happy with the buttons. They are SO shiny and somewhat heavy. I know that they will make my seamstress creations look high end. The only thing I don't like about the buttons is that they are packaged in a ridiculous amount of plastic. Whatever happened to button cards? There is also only 5 buttons per size. This will limit use for me somewhat as I usually use more buttons on shirts and dresses.

These buttons are beautiful. They are nice and smooth with no sharp edges to be found. I chose the silver ones, which are seriously reflective - because they're so shiny, they readily show fingerprints. I ordered them with a specific fabric in mind. It has metallic threads running through it, so it glints when it moves. These buttons do the same, catching the light at various angles.Their weight is substantial without being too much, depending on which fabric you pair them with. For instance, I wouldn't use them on something lightweight and drapey like a silk chiffon blouse, but they'd be fine on a quilting cotton or heavier weight fabric. The larger ones look great against wool coating.The only negative thing about these is the overwhelming amount of plastic packaging. Each of these buttons had its own little plastic tray cradling it separate from the other buttons, with plastic film over the top, which was then packaged inside a little plastic box and secured inside a plastic zipper bag. I get that they don't want the buttons banging against each other and potentially causing damage, but all that packaging wasn't even effective. Half the buttons were out of their little plastic prisons, socializing with each other inside the plastic box (fortunately, without injury). Far less robust buttons have survived just fine stitched to a piece of card, and that method is far superior to all this plastic.

Not a lot of moving parts to a button. They are well-made and even, the holes not rough to tear up the thread. The weight is a little surprising, because they look just like a lot of black plastic buttons. You might not want them on unreinforced habotai silk.Do you care about the packaging? Fortunately, the plastic case was inside a zip bag, because the lid was cracked, the tape over the molded cases mostly pulled off, and the buttons were all over the box. I just dumped them in the bag. I can tell one size from another. But how did the tape come off inside a closed box?Do be sure you have enough of any one size. There's only five of each, please note. While on a shirt the cuff and collar buttons can be smaller, you are probably going to need six or seven up the front. Five is enough for a short jacket, but not quite for an overcoat. You may need two sets or more.

To be honest, I was a little worried I would get these and they would show up and just be plastic that looked like metal, to my delight, they are actually metal. The have a nice feel and they clank against one another. They are all uniform in shape, button location, and size (among their same sized buttons anyway).I am really happy to have these for a project I am working on.

I needed some buttons to replace the broken cuff buttons on a thrifted suit I have. These are perfect. The packet comes with multiple sizes, just enough to do both sleeves, the waist button and the pants. They seem pretty sturdy, being metal obviously.
