I appreciate Nordic Ware as US made, but ultimately I don't think this is the mini pie pan I want to spend my money on. They bill it as 7" but a full 7/8" (nearly 1" !) is crust edge. The actual guts of the pie is a mere 5.25" across the top, and just under 4.75" across the bottom. I was intending this pan for a custard type dish -- crustless -- and I was expecting something more like 6". Also, the metal is not especially thick and does not appear to be nonstick. Sorry guys not for me

The pie pans are nice but the description said it was a 7" pan. I guess technically it is but that includes the decorative rim. The actual pie part of the pan is only 5". I was looking for a bigger one. If you need a 7" don't get this one. If you need a 5" this one would work well.

My girlfriend just loved these as a nice little extra Christmas gift!She loves baking and this set with the reversible pie top crust patterns made it an easy snap!Turn over the top for an alternate pattern for your pie top crust. Weave pattern or pinwheel pattern.Mini pies are just the right size for just the two of us. Apple & peach cobbler, tarts and now sh'e talking about making pot pies.

I love to bake pies but wanted a small pie pan to make personal pies for myself and friends. I have always had great success with Nordic Ware products and expected this would be a great addition to my bake wear. It isn't. First, the sides have no slope so it's impossible to get a slice of pie out of the pan. Second, the crust sticks to the bottom of the pan, so when you do finally wiggle a slice out, the bottom crust is left behind. I've never had this problem with either metal or glass pie pans and can't understand why the dull aluminum surface should hold onto the crust. Last, I thought it might be lovely to use the decorative cutter when giving the pies as gifts. But I couldn't get the cutter to cut neatly through the dough, so it's useless. Guess I'll use the pans as cat food dishes ...a huge disappointment from a company like Nordic Ware.

I was really looking for small pie pans since we've only got the two of us and large pies don't end up getting eaten. The size is good, though I think I'd actually like one inch bigger, and I'd rather have glass. Still, there aren't that many smaller pie pans around. Works out to 4 mini tasting-size pieces or 2 regular-size pieces of pie.
