This baby monitor/camera does what I would expect it to. The picture is good up close (right over baby’s crib) but it isn’t quite as great if you are trying to use it at a longer distance. (For example: if you wanted to use it to have an overview/visual of an entire room.) The app can be set up to alert you when a noise or movement is picked up, which is an excellent feature to have, especially with an infant or younger child. It can be set up on a shelf or table alone or it can be hooked to the mount that it comes with- which is what I use when the camera is set to view baby in his crib. You are able to talk through the camera via the app on your phone. The camera is offered in 2 colors- white and light blue. I went with the light blue color and it is gorgeous. I saw a review that mentioned having difficulty with getting the camera to blink yellow so the app could be set up. I had the same issue. I’m a little stubborn when it comes to asking for help.. so I opted to waste 30-45ish minutes getting frustrated with the camera and with myself before finally getting the camera to cooperate with me. It works just like it should now but I definitely struggled with it in the beginning.My biggest and only REAL issue with this camera now is that it doesn’t offer the monitor separately. There is another version of this Netvue baby cam that comes with a camera and separate monitor but the monitor can’t be purchased alone. I didn’t realize how important a handheld monitor would be for me until I started using this one.The baby camera itself is a little pricey at its regular price but the current sale price seems about right (currently $67 at the time of this review) but it is definitely worth looking into getting the version that comes with camera + handheld monitor, otherwise you will have to have the app open on your phone or separate device to be able to view baby. It would definitely be easier for me if I’d just gotten one with monitor included.

There are a lot of really great things about this camera/monitor, but I felt like the drawbacks were high enough I wouldn't buy this again (and would have returned if able).Pros:*The image is SUPER CLEAR, and the night vision feature makes it seem like my son's room is lit up*The set up was really easy - you just connect the camera pieces together and clip to the crib/etc. or you can mount on the wall.*The app has a ton of neat features like sleep analysis, etc. (but most of those require a paid subscription - see cons)*The microphone is VERY crisp, way better than other 2 way baby monitors we've had before*It does track temp and humidity (whether accurately or not, I'm not sure - see cons)Cons:*I thought this was a steal ($80 at time of review) for a wifi baby monitor, but it is JUST the camera (reading is hard) and then you set it up through an app on your phone. They do have a version that comes with the monitor for $135 which is in the same range as other mid-tier wifi monitors.*Unless you leave your phone on in the app/video mode all night, it doesn't really give you notifications of noise/movement/etc. (or not that I could figure out in the app). We really only use it if we're in the garage which is spotty reception for our other monitor.*My app constantly disconnects from the camera (says camera is offline, cannot be found, etc.) and I have to repeatedly refresh until it finds it OR I have to readd the accessory (camera) in the app for it to find it. This cannot be done while your child is sleeping because it has to scan your phone QR code and makes a lot of pinging noises so always check that it's functioning BEFORE you do bedtime.*The QR code in the manual takes you to the wrong app (for their other products I guess), so it was a bit confusing to get set up until I googled it and got the right app.*Pretty much all features other than play a lullaby, microphone (drop in and talk on the camera). or screenshot/recordings are only for paid subscribers. (Understandable for some things like continuous recording/storage/etc.)*The temperature is always significantly higher (3-8 degrees) than our thermostat/other baby monitor shows, so not sure that's accurate.

Love this camera. I have a pack n play and the camera gets a good angle and view of all her movements. I like how her father and I can look at the camera on our phones with the detection alert. Good value for money, good picture quality (day and night) , and easy to use. You have to keep it on the charger but that works for me. I also like who it gives different options to use it. Love the size.

I recently decided to try the Netvue Peekababy monitor to gain peace of mind while my grandbaby visits and I couldn’t be happier with my choice! As you will see in my photos this monitor has received numerous awards, including Mom’s Choice Awards, Parents Picks Award, Family Choice, National Parenting products and Baby Innovation Award. With such impressive accolades I felt it was worth trying and I am delighted to say I have not been disappointed. First, the setup process is straightforward thanks to clear & easy to follow instructions. It offers many mounting options. You can attach it to the crib, wall, dresser or wrap it around any area of the crib. In terms of performance, it works perfectly with my iPhone, iPad and Echo Show (Alexa). The communication feature is amazing, you can speak to your baby & hear what’s happening in the nursery. The night vision is crystal clear even in low light. The motion detection feature has been reliable every time! While I haven’t tried the live streaming features with others, I appreciate that it is available. The build quality is excellent, with soft rounded edges, and a lovely baby blue color looks soft & gentle. The packaging and attention to detail really show the care that went into designing this product. This monitor offers exceptional features at an affordable price point!
