This little tool is just perfect,but remember you must carry out more than one test so always use another method to be 100% sure there is no risk to you or others.but this little device work well and fits in your top pocket, excellent price.

I received a similar voltage stick as this,CEF (UK)was the supplier, same circuitry etc, the unit is brilliant, with some knowledge, the unit shows on a bar or two ghost potential, mutual inductance etc, when on a live cable, like right next to the probe, it's red, for example on a three core flex, line, neutral and earth aka ground, the probe can be rotated around the circular flex and live can be located or neutral, even though it's very close to each other, used soany times it's simply practice to quickly test, so on a closely connected neutral and line it's child's play,The meter scale from yellow to red is really useful, as it's not a binary light up and sound OR not, relying very much on the tester to determine, but the accurate scale of (if memory serves) four yellow LEDs to two red leaves room for knowledge, intuition on experience, a quick rule of thumb, one or two yellow, ghost or residual or mutual/ inductance voltage, 3 or more yellow, neutral and finally one or two red, live, it varies one either way for type of circuit / equipment or situation, but the rule of thumb is like 95% spot on,I am a fluke,megger, metrowatt, kewtech, etc guy, but this voltage stick for a passive device is brilliant, the more you use it, then you just know how its nuances are,Invaluable and ability to create a higher resolution from the circuit dependent binary of live or not, sound and light up or not, just proves again, cost is no metric for quality or performance,Make sure if your meter is in reserve in a toolbox or in storage, REMOVE THE BATTERIES! batteries leak and knacker the meter, had a Klein pen voltage stick ruined by a leaking Duracell battery, fixed down to component level, but it's a non serviceable unit, so makes a mess getting into the gubbins,

This volt stick was an Amazon’s choice and came at a great price. I tried it when it arrived and works great. In the HVAC trade these volt sticks come in handy for troubleshooting and even though I retired not too long ago they are also handy for around the house. Make sure you buy the full range because this one goes from 12 volt to 10,000. In my trade checking as low as 24volt is required.

No sabía de la existencia de este aparato, hasta que lo vi en Amazon. Me parece genial. Muy eficaz y sobre todo muy importante como medida de seguridad para saber por donde hay corriente . Muy bueno. Es un salvavidas.

The power line detector tool is a small plastic device that uses two AAA batteries, which are included in the package. It can detect power lines hidden within a wall by pointing at them, and it provides three levels of indication with three being the strongest one indicating a power line just beneath it. The levels are indicated with both light and sound, making it easy to use.The device is nicely built and comes with a practical built-in light, making it useful in low-light conditions. However, it is quite oversensitive detecting power lines with a full indication on the scale, and it also tends to detect metal from distances of up to 10-20 cm (with a lower indication on the scale), which can be unpractical and confusing in certain situations. This oversensitivity means that you need to check for power lines several times to confirm the readings by going back and forth.The sensitivity of the tool cannot be adjusted, which is a significant downside. Additionally, the high-pitched sound that it produces cannot be adjusted, making it impractical in some situations.Overall, the power line detector tool is cheap and useful, but its oversensitivity and inability to adjust its sound or sensitivity can be problematic. Therefore, I would give it a rating of 3 out of 5 stars.
