Creating energetic content while looking into the camera lens can be difficult and this teleprompter does levels up my film making. The X14 III model is heavy duty being machined using aluminum base plate with pairs of 1/4" and 3/8" screw threads underside for rigging onto tripods. Quick release plate is also double threaded balancing weight of either DSLR or full cinematography rig with heavier lenses. Its softer velvet fabric gently loops around creating darkroom seal to minimize glare and reflections including lens element itself behind glass. Camera mount is flexible, lifting about 2.5" in height on metal rod, shifting closer to glass 8", and snaps using push lever and screw to tighten down quick release plate.Front glass is quite reflective yet simultaneously allows nearly 1/2 to 2/3 exposure of light reduction pass through into lenses behind. Its a clever system relying on slide out mechanism to hold tablets or portable monitors for reflecting off scripts. Glass rotates around 25 degrees from flat to angled downwards optimizing crispness on the larger surface area. Setting up took merely couple minutes to zip across edges creating a geometric dome structure and getting me filming engaging scenes quicker by focusing into the lens behind. Yet this teleprompter system folds up flat into hard suitcase to lug around this heavier piece of studio gear while traveling.
