I might change the rating when I get the chance to use it, but so far I'm about 4 hours, and about £25 in lapping paper in, trying to flatten the back to even make it usable, and I'm not even close to finished. The back of the chisel was not ground flat, the edge was gauged too deep. Because of uniform scratch pattern, it was not obvious until I flattened it to some degree with finer grits. I expect to put in work to prepare a new chisel, but this one requires regrinding the whole tool to make it usable. I have high quality lapping paper, and diamond plates, but it still takes ages to prepare this chisel. I will manage to fix it with enough time and elbow grease, and expensive lapping setup, but for most normal users I would consider it not fit for purpose.

Ich war sehr von der schönen Verarbeitung überrascht.Für den Preis unschlagbar.Besser geht immer, aber nicht für den Preis.

While I have yet to use this in on a project, it certainly feels like a quality if workmanlike tool: beefy wooden handle with a sharp (but not micro bevel honed) blade. You are not supposed to pound on paring chisels, but I would not be afraid to take a mallet to this one. Just don't expect elegant/nostalgic handles and collector brass ferules.Was surprised how thick the blade was - certainly as thick as my blue Marples' firmers. And at 1 and ¼ wide, this is one seriously bad-boy chisel. Small gripe: No safety tip

excellent tool worth every penny spentwill certainly past the name on and use them again.I wonder if they have a catalogue.
