Chilling on the couch playing with my Korg Minilogue XD is the best. Thanks! Just needs a strong enough powerbank. The big one from Anker does the job!

XD needs 15W and 1.7 Amps, output on device says 9W MAX (packaging/advertising says 12W) and 1A MAXAlso needs an adaptor to actually fit the XD. I suspect they just think this thing can power anything without actually looking at the equipment input. False advertising (at best) and a waste of time...waiting for refund....AMAZON- please remove this!

While you would be hard-pressed to fit it in your backpack, the KORG Minilogue XD can be portable thanks to the myVolts 9V Ripcord! This works perfectly to power the Minilogue XD from a USB Lithium-Ion battery or power pack. The USB port must be able to supply at least 2.4 A. The battery in my photos is rated for 16000 mAh (internally it is 6 x 18650 cells, and it is several years old, so probably somewhat depleted). With that battery, I was able to power the XD for over 4 hours of continuous use! A higher capacity battery will last even longer. Great for gigs, jams, and travel. Note that it does require a tip adapter (black, included), as you can see in the photo. The Ripcord itself is grey, fabric wrapped, and the USB end of it has a strap that can be used to keep excess cable length nice and tidy! The USB plug is larger than normal, because it contains a DC booster circuit to boost the normal 5V USB output to the 9V that the XD needs. If you look at the cost of buying a voltage booster by itself (typically $10 - $15), the Ripcord stands out as a great deal! The Ripcord feels very solid and well-built, so I'm confident that it will last a long time. All KORG instruments use the same power supply, so this Ripcord will also power other KORG devices, such as the Volcas. Just double-check that your device requires 9V center positive.I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the same Ripcord will power the Elektron Model:Samples! The Model:Samples accepts DC 4 - 10 V through the side power input, so actually any of the Ripcords that fall into that voltage range will work. And no tip adapter needed, bonus! The Model:Samples pulls very little power, so it will last for hours and hours, maybe days, from a Li-Ion battery.

I purchased this product to be able to power my Minilogue XD from my MacBook Pro 13" (2015). Unfortunately the Minilogue XD and the myVolts Ripcord require more amperage than the MacBook Pro USB port can provide. Important to note that most computers’ USB ports will not supply the amperage that is required by the myVolts Ripcord. My greater concern is that trying to power a Minilogue XD with the myVolts Ripcord could damage older computers, which may not have active sensing on the power draw of the connected devices.I wrote to myVolts support inquiring if I had received a defective unit. myVolts support responded to my email after a few days and asked me to try a "USB Power Bank" instead. I learned that this product will not work as advertised...and it wont work with "any USB port" as stated in the description. I'm hoping that this review will get Amazon & myVolts to update / correct the product listing. There are two issues with the Amazon product description:1) The myVolts Ripcord comes with a tip-adapter / converter-dongle so it can plug into the Minilogue XD. The description makes no mention that the adapter is needed (and included). This should have been mentioned in the description and shown in product photos.2) This product is unlikely to work with the USB ports on your laptop or PC, so if that is what you are intending *buyer beware*. This device requires more amperage than computer-based USB ports provide.I'm resigned to returning this item and using the standard Korg wall-wart power cord instead. I've wasted enough time trying this device out with several desktops, laptops...writing emails…waiting days for response from support.I'd love to hear from anyone who has been able to get this to work with a Minilogue XD and a MacBook Pro. For me, I'm no longer willing to risk damage to my Minilogue XD or my computers by using this product.
