I'm not a professional metrologist, and I'm not sure exactly what "precision" means in this context. This block certainly does not ship with any sort of certificate of calibration; it comes with no documentation at all, just a plastic shrink wrap layer.As best I could tell from the instruments I have on hand, the block accurately measures 80x80x40 mm. It does have a dent on one edge. The raised metal beside this dent protrudes by about 0.2 mm.As pictured in the description, this block has chamfered edges and smooth but not polished faces. I've included photos of the two faces and two of the four sides. One face has fairly prominent scratches.Weight is just over 2 kg, as expected.I will be using this mainly as an anchor for magnetic accessories, and to test the strength of magnets. (It's strongly ferromagnetic, again as expected.) If I needed to use it as a gage block, I would file off the metal raised by the dent.
