I've always wanted a set of Mitutuyo's as they are super smooth and super accurate. These are my favourite style as they allow for adjustment with one had as opposed to the screw type where you need to set the gauge and then tighten the screw. Scale Is easy to read. Love everything about them. The only thing I'd change is supplying the set with a decent leather case to keep them perfect forever. Im currently on the hunt to look for a nice side leather case.

Es gibt noch den einen oder andern Hersteller welcher gute Messzeuge "made in Germany" baut (HP), aber wer keine Lust auf probieren und versuchen hat, ist mit Mitutoyo immer gut beraten. Damit hat die Suche ein Ende :)

perfecto, pero recibi un prodicto con ligeras diferencias a la iamgen. En la imagen se ve que las medidas están en pulgadas y están en sistema métrico.

Normalerweise kaufe ich nur noch Werkzeug aus deutscher Herstellung.Dies ist mittlerweile gar nicht mehr so einfach, weil sehr viele ihre Produktion nach Asien verlagert haben.Dies musste ich bei Messschiebern feststellen, daß es keinen Hersteller mehr gibt, der manuelle Messschieber in guter Qualität in Deutschland herstellt.Daher musste ich auf einen Japanischen Hersteller ausweichen (Was für mich direkt nach Deutscher Herstellung kommt).Die Qualität hat meine Erwartungen erfüllt.Die einfache Folientasche stört mich persönlich nicht allzu sehr, weil dieses Gerät sowieso in die Schublade kommt.

Dies ist der einzige Messschieber in dieser Genauigkeitsklasse (Skala 0,02 mm, Genauigkeit +-0,03 mm) mit Momentverstellung, den ich finden konnte.Wie bei allen Mitutoyo-Messschiebern der 53x-Serien ist er dank der mattverchromten Skala und Nonius blendfrei abzulesen.Die Momentverstellung/Klemme hält zuverlässig und lässt sich kaum unabsichtlich verstellen.Leider läuft der Schieber nicht besonders weich und die Kanten der Momentverstellung sind recht scharf.Auch dieser Messschieber kommt nur in einer Pappschachtel mit einer sehr einfachen Kunststoffhülle.

The Mitutoyo 530-531-532 Series vernier calipers are perfection, the kind of tool that inspires you to do better. Machined to very tight tolerances, they have a silky satin finish without causing glare, making their scale and numbers easy to read. All markings are etched just below the surface so can essentially last forever. They slide smoothly and close without effort, yet hold their position perfectly. The 530 Series come with a lock screw to fix the carriage after measuring while the 531 Series uses a thumb lock preferred by some, including me. I bought the 531-128 for that reason.The 532 Series provides a secondary carriage connected to the main one for fine adjustment. They all have a vernier scale, that elegant 17th century invention that makes dials and electronics look fragile, clumsy and unneeded. And if you need higher accuracy than 0.03mm or 0.001” you might want to consider a micrometer.But the Mitutoyo numbering system is rather a hash, compounded by so many models to choose from. This is what I learned:530 – Lock screw531 – Thumb lock532 – Lock screw with secondary carriageThe second three-digit number distinguishes length, whether metric, inches or both, carbide jaws or not, and standard or high accuracy. I have not been able to discern much logic in this numbering system, except that 101, 102 and 103 are all metric but not the only ones, so finding the precise one you want is a bit of an expedition. The best source I found is Mitutoyo’s own website. Your search will be worth it.Summing up — It is a miracle that tools of such precision, quality, refinement, and lasting value—another reviewer called his prized Mitutoyo the Patek Philippe of vernier calipers—can be had for so little. A lifetime treasure.
