My favorite purchase from Amazon by far! We had someone install, so not sure how easy it was, but this was the cherry on top of our new home!!

95% is of fantastic, handsome, sturdy material and looks and operates great. However, the Retaining Clip is cheap soft iron or something and snapped when putting the vane up. I have bought 3 vanes with these clips and 2 out of the 3 broke. Disappointing.

One of the brackets fractured when assembling (upper one) and had to JB weld epoxy. Wasn't manufactured level and had to shim it. Does not spin freely. When I finally got it up it refused to turn with the wind, even in a 20 mph wind! I dissembled it and made sure the shaft was straight and free of any burrs by sanding it. Even put a light grease on it and it still won't spin freely. I'm guessing there's a design flaw or an internal burr dragging on the shaft.

This product is a P. O. S. The parts will not fit together. I sent the first one back and on the second one the wing broke off ,I give up. I will just live without a weathervane. I would never buy another one from this manufacturer. I have never seen anything so cheap. The solder joints were just globed together. It is truly a P. O. S.

Decent Indian craftsmanship. Ours came with a bent tail feather that was easy to straighten. The retaining washer at the bottom of the copper sleeve was soldered with an offset. Therefore, the sleeve would not slide onto the rod until I used a file to enlarge the hole in the washer. Looks nice. I would buy it again
