Initially bought for my LED, but this is a superbly machined mini-ballhead that was secure enough for my travel-tripod and compact. Perhaps the best Mini-Ballhead I have come across, and for the price, unbeatable.

For what I need, this ball head is perfect. It has no quick release which is likely a problem for many people, my camera switching is pretty infrequent so doesn't get in my way.It is a little fiddly as the adjusting knob controls both the ball fixation as well as panning adjustment, but once locked into place, it remains pretty firm. The problem is that I like to adjust pan a bit as I move my boom around, so it's a little difficult to adjust pan without affecting the ball head and vice versa. My planned load for this ball head is about 3lbs and I expect it to function well, if it does not, the review will be updated accordingly.Machining is very nice overall and it looks great.
