I was looking for a big, lidded palette for more ready colors at my fingertips. I love the two-tray layout and am glad I found it. I 'seasoned' the plastic mixing area with a magic eraser, so the beads don't run everywhere. Metal might be superior, but for my needs, I'm very happy with this palette!

Amazon says this has stackable trays so paint won’t leak when you close the lid, and that’s specifically what I wanted when I ordered the item: as shown and descibed. however the version I got didnt have the stackable tray, only wells in the base and lid. I’m not going to the trouble of sending it back, it’s still a decent palette, just not what I expected or wanted. Also, it got delivered to the wrong house.
