I like buying new clamps. I believe in the adage that you can never have enough. These clamps are the newest addition to my clamp collection. I think they're possibly one of the more useful clamps I have for use with my table saw, router and drill press. There are possibly 1001 uses for these clamps in building various jigs to make your life easier. Kudos to Matchfit for finding an untapped niche for a really useful product.

I'm not sure about all the cute jigs you are supposed to make with dovetails, but these fit easily through 3/4" holes drilled in 3/4" plywood and really clamp down hard. The fit and finish is higher quality than you get on some less expensive overseas screw F clamps. ( and no-name trigger clamps that never grip properly )

These are the clamps to use when the clamping mechanism must be hidden or one-sided. I use four to attach a 2x4 "X" on which I sit plywood sheets to cut. The 2x4's, with the dovetail routed in the bottom, attach to my sawhorses with these clamps. Without firm clamping, I have difficulty placing a full sheet (typically 70+ lbs) on the frame. These clamps enable the frame to be rigid and stable, permitting the plywood to be placed on the ground and tipped onto the frame.Microjig includes "plans" to make various jigs using their clamps. The ideas they present are decent, and suggest many other uses.Note, Micro-jig indicates a dovetail size to accept the clamp. I have found that the dovetail slot needs to be slightly larger.
