Love these notebooks. I use them & the yellow-tinted paper as well. They're the only kind I will use. I love the line down the middle for some reason. The only question I thought was a little out there was, Are they waterproof? No I don't know of any notebook out there that is waterproof. If there is one, I haven't heard of it. But I don't have them around water, so that's not an issued.

Ordered the steno pad because of the photo which showed it as a RED cover. (No mention in ad about cover color.) The project I was intending to use it for required a RED cover. Instead, what arrived was a solid Black Cover (which made no sense, since there are lines on the front to enter notes about book contents, and I fail to see how anyone can write on a solid black cover). Anyway, since it was too much hassle to return to Amazon, I cast about looking for something RED I could use to jazz up the cover. I was delighted when I found a PERFECT piece of red felt with gold sparkles embedded in it, and even more happy when I folded the felt over the cover and it was a perfect fit! Didn't even have to trim the fabric; just stitched it onto the stiff cover and now I have a beautiful book and can embark on the project as originally intended. "Necessity is the mother of invention." (I do think the ad on Amazon should specify what COLOR of cover the customer will receive.) Thank you. P.S. Nice material but I expected a red one and got a blue one instead. Still is a good notepad.

I like the Mead steno pads.Only problem I had with this order was I ordered 6 red steno pads as the order said I would receive. But I received 2 red 1 black and 3 green. Disappointed I needed the 6 red I was led to believe I would receive.
