A very nice piece of kit but there are a couple of points you need to know about. There are two adaptors wired together. Without extension rings or filters on, these are simply used to reverse a lens and still allow you to control the aperture of that lens. The smaller of the adaptors is 15mm in depth and has the camera body mount on it. It also has a 60mm female thread which can be used to mount the lens of your choice by utilising one of the 4 stepping rings included in the box. Each of the four stepping rings has a 60mm male thread (for attaching to the female thread on the 15mm part of the adaptor. All of these 4 rings have male to male threads intended for reversing your lens on to it. The stepping sizes are 60mm to 58mm (down); 60mm to 67mm (up); 60mm to 72mm (up) and 60mm to 77mm (up).If the filter ring on your lens is not one of the above, you will need to have a 60mm male to made for you. I have looked around for 60mm male filters/stepping rings and they are not easily available. That said my Macro Lens is a 67mm and 24-135 zoom is 77mm so I have no problem – lucky me!The second part of the adaptor has a `lens' fitting to one side (just like the inside of the body of the camera) and is 20mm in depth. This is fitted to the 'reversed' lens. This allows the electronics to continue to operate. Additionally, this adaptor has a male thread on its outer side which is also 60mm and is an obvious male to female `match for the first part of the adaptor if the unit is just being used as an extension tube. When a lens is fitted in the reverse configuration this 60mm male thread is visible and can be made use of – but with the point I made above being noted re: having a female 60mm stepping ring to an appropriate size for the piece of equipment you want to add. This can be other lens, filters or even a flash ring.As an extension tube it would be 35mm in depth.I am not sure what the other customer review meant by “came without bellows attachments”. The unit I purchased was ‘as advertised’ for a Canon fitting (see the camera list in the advert). The bellows I have is also for a Cannon fitting – therefore they will always be compatible and, with care, can be used in tandem.I consider this to be a good piece of equipment to have - along with a sturdy tripod.
