I finally decided to make the jump to an OEM stainless prop for my boat. If you have done this little upgrade, then you know what they are worth. So do a lot of other people, and with the right socket they could walk away with your prop in a matter of seconds. To prevent someone from easily walking away with my shiny new prop when they decide they need it more than I do, I purchased this product. This is a quality theft-deterrent device that comes with a matched key tool required to remove the prop. It installed easily and looks good; it even came with a plastic cover to cover the center of the nut assembly. Nothing is theft-proof but with the spinning bezel that would prevent the use of most tools, this would certainly slow a would-be thief down and maybe convince them to move along.

The lock was easy to install and made of good quality materials. I bought a four blade stainless steel prop for my 125 hp Mercury outboard and this lock gives me piece of mind that nobody will walk off with my $500 prop.If you fish tournaments this lock is a must have to prevent theft at the motels if it’s a one day tournament or multi-day event.This piece of mind is well worth the money.Always tighten the lock with a tourqe wrench to the required ft pounds. You don’t want your prop sitting on the bottom of the lake.

I have not used my McGard propeller lock set as I pickup my new boat and motor in a few weeks. I have numerous friends who have this product that recommended I purchase a set. I believe this will give us piece of mind that the next time we go boating my SS prop will be there. Excellent product Thanks Ken
